Do you feel that you are missing the good old days when you and your spouse could hardly wait to get into bed together and you could hardly get off each other? You wondered when had red lights timing been reduced as you unwillingly pulled yourself away from that passionate kiss with your partner? Those were the days when you just wished you could spend 24 hours together each day.
However, after years, or even after months of marriage, your moments of being together seemed more like a chore or a duty, instead of a strong desire. Whatever had happened to that passionate loving feeling? Is it still possible to rekindle the flame in a marriage that had gone stale? Definitely, you can but both of you have to be willing to put in effort. Most likely, the burden of day-to-day life had taken a toll on you and so you are no longer as excited over your relationship as you once were.
As you know, marriage life does not involve just the two of you. Issues such as stress from work, finances, career plans as well as children could have added to your burden and so your relationship with your spouse has taken a back seat. If you still love each other, both of you have to agree do your parts in making things work. You have to start making time for each other, regardless of how busy your schedule is.
In order to revive a stale marriage, you have to set aside private time for each other. Yes, that means without the kids around too because your time together has to be uninterrupted. There must not be any forms of interruptions or disruptions such as phone calls so preferably, you should both go for a weekend getaway.
Go to a remote and romantic place where it is not too near home so you could focus on spending time together and be in a totally relaxed state. Make sure you arrange for babysitting for your kids so that you do not have to worry about them when you are away.
Alternatively, you could simply check yourselves into a honeymoon suite at a hotel that is in another town and refrain from any forms of communication with the outside world. In fact, in such instances, the only time you should open the hotel room door is just for room service. Since you have not been spending enough time together, you should make full use of this weekend getaway to rekindle that love and indulge yourselves in the sweet old memories.
While at your weekend getaway when you are trying to save marriage, you could also include activities such as a couples' massage at a romantic location or even just buy massage oils and massage each other! That is indeed a fantastic way to arouse each other and to increase the sexual desire level in your relationship.
Theses tips will definitely help you to improve your relationship with each other but you have to keep things going if you want to save your marriage. It is advisable that you come to a compromise and arrange for a date night once a week or at least once a fortnight. If possible, you could go for a getaway once in while. In this way, you can be sure that you are not neglecting your spouse and over time, you will find marked improvement in your relationship.
That Honeymoon Suite idea is a particularly good one. It would be worth saving up for such a weekend in most cases. A date night is very helpful too. Thanks, Stella.
