Infidelity in a relationship commonly occurs when there are some major problems in the relationship, after infidelity, it can be very difficult to face these problems and try to rebuild the relationship.
It can be very difficult to repair the damage and loss of trust that has been caused by the infidelity.
If you both work together and try to examine the problems that led up to the cheating, then this is a start in the process to restoring and rebuilding your relationship.
Most of the time, when infidelity occurs, it is a reason that is becoming more and more common. The most common reason for infidelity is that your spouse is trying to find something that is missing in your relationship, and therefore has tried to find it elsewhere.

Yes, it may make you feel better, but you don't want to start making things worse than they already are by throwing out accusations.
Rather than laying the blame on each other, you need to start spending your time communicating and trying to repair what has been broken in your relationship.
Your main priority right now should be finding out what happened within your relationship that caused your spouse to have and affair. Once you both face the truth, and know where the problem lies, you will be able to start repairing it. If you are unable to find out what the problem is, then how can you possibly know how to repair it, and get back the honesty and trust that you both once had for one another.
The reasons why are more important that the chance to repair a relationship after infidelity. If you don't have an understanding why it happened, then even if you do patch things up, it's only bound to happen again.
What is the hardest step for some couples, is being completely honest with one another about what has happened in the relationship, and why it has happened.
While you are both trying to communicate with one another, and get your honest opinions and feelings out, you both need to remain calm, you need to keep this on a civil level, and not get angry with each other. You want to be able to get through this without accusing your partner of his infidelity, and without arguing about the situation.
The reasons may sound like an apology and a defense, but if you listen and really communicate, you will find the real reasons for your husband's infidelity. Once you discover why things have happened like they did, and why your spouse cheated, then you will have the knowledge to change things that need to be changed to be able to repair your relationship.
You wonder if your marriage will ever be good again, will you ever be able to feel trusting of your spouse again. The answer is yes, most definitely. When you both work together to find the problems and work through the solutions together, it will not only make your relationship good again, but you can both make it better than you would have ever thought possible.
