If your still unsure about whether or not your gonna give meditation a shot, I'd like to offer you some insight into meditation benefits that hopefully will help you head in the right direction. If you don't already know starting a meditation routine has life changing effects. I'm not trying to push you in either direction, but I'm hoping that after hearing some of its outstanding benefits you'll at least give it a try!
One of the first beginner meditation benefits I'd like to highlight is improving your health. Did you know that meditating everyday can help you live longer, and improve your health at the same time! Daily meditation can help to increase your body's immune function, by increasing the amount of antibodies (cells which fight cancer and flu-like infections) present throughout your bloodstream. In fact its been shown that those who meditate have double the amount of antibodies than those who don't meditate! So, if you don't like being sick then all it takes is a little beginner daily meditation to reduce your chances of getting a cold this winter.
Another one of the beginner meditation benefits I'd like to talk about is reducing your stress levels. If you have any kind of job in society today then your probably plagued with high levels of stress. But it doesn't have to be this way forever! Starting a daily meditation practice allows you to raise your stress threshold, so the events that used to stress you out wont bother you anymore. How great is that?! When you take time each day to relax and strengthen your mind through meditation, it alters your subconscious mind. Having a stronger subconscious mind allows your conscious mind to overcome and not be affected by stress as easily.
Last on the beginner meditation benefits I'm going to cover is meditation's ability to increase you self-esteem, and/or confidence. If your like me at all then you've probably struggled with self esteem issues throughout your past and possibly present. But through beginner daily meditation you begin to realize how silly some of your perceived "issues" really are and they begin to vanish by the wayside. Meditation also produces endorphins (the feel good chemicals) in your brain; having this feeling flow throughout you during the day makes it extremely difficult to have negative thoughts or emotions, which in turn increases your self-esteem since your aren't having negative thoughts about yourself.
Now benefits such as this won't happen overnight, in fact it may even take a while, but if you work at it everyday the results will come. Nothing easy in life is never worth having, it's always the things you have to work hard at that are the most worthwhile. The beginner meditation benefits we just went over namely increased health, decreased stress, and increased self-esteem will impact your life in overwhelming positive ways.
