How To Remember— Putting The Trust Back Into Your Memory

I bet you're here because you can't remember squat. Don't worry by the end of this you will have a ton of useful ways on how to remember things. But first. One question, are you a do-er or a theorizer? If you're a do-er congratulations you're in the top 1% of the world and will be great at remembering things because remembering is not some "gift" it is a skill, that can be developed in anyone. But you have to DO it, and that's what I challenge you to do now!

Theory Behind The Super-Human Memory

It's simple — memory works on a stimulus and response basis!

In other words something stimulates you (like a question or talking about a subject) and your brain finds an answer! Knowing this and the fact that our brain naturally thinks in pictures we can become the master of our memory, remembering a bunch of things we never even thought possible :D

Gaining The Super-Human Memory

When I say gaining a super-human memory I am talking about "beyond" what is possible by normal standards. I mean memorizing anything you want. Facts, faces, formula's, etc.. FAST.

I will give you a sample of what is possible and you will know it is because you will be doing it! Let us memorize 5 interesting facts, remember we are converting the fact into a picture, it is also important to note that you should say the fact 2-3 times while viewing the picture in your head:

  • Cold weather makes fingernails grow faster. Let's convert it to a picture for me it is a fingernail with a snowflake painted on it. For you it may be different as with all pictures in here, keep that in mind.
  • Squirrels forget where 50% of the nuts they've hidden are. For me this is, half an acorn.
  • When water freezes it expands. This is a frozen bloated water bottle.
  • Birth control pills designed for a human, will also work for a gorilla. A gorilla eating a pill.
  • More people are killed by donkeys a year than by planes. A donkey on a plane.

I bet you if I asked you what is a donkey on a plane, you'd be able to tell me more people are killed by donkeys every year than by planes! WOW! Isn't that powerful?! With this type of information and if we go into slightly more advanced techniques, we can easily memorize entire books!

Recalling It Whenever You Want

We now have the ability to remember. But how do we recall this information whenever we want without a question or something else triggering a response. The answer is linking it to something familiar, this technique is known as the memory palace which I won't go into detail here as it is covered better by other sources.

The Test

You didn't think you would get away without a test did you?! This will show me if you are in the 1% who actually DOES. If you're here I am sure you will never worry about how to remember anything again, IF YOU DEVELOP THE SKILL.

I won't use questions, it'll make it too easy, I will use triggers just like you would get in a conversation.

  1. First trigger: I saw a squirrel today! What is a fact you can bring up?
  2. Second trigger: "I'm worried about flying on a plane!" You can say: "Oh! Don't worry (blank) kills more people than planes each year, you have nothing to fear!"
  3. Third trigger: A girl says: "I hate the cold weather!" You say: "Cold weather makes your (blank) grow faster! You should love it!"
  4. Fourth trigger: I hope my gorilla doesn't get pregnant (LOL, who do you hang around with.) What do you say?
  5. Fifth trigger: Why does my bottled water get so bloated when I freeze it?

So how did you do? Let me know in the comment section below!
