Cures For Stress

For a while now I've had nasty chest pains happening because of stress, I've decided to look into some cures for stress and more importantly I am learning and teaching how to prevent stress from occurring in the first place. I'm sure many of you can relate to this awful feeling of getting increasingly stressed out with all the daily pressures of life.

What is Stress?

Stress is actually a very positive thing when used correctly. In actual fact stress can save your life. This inbuilt mechanism can actually get you out of trouble in a very efficient way if your brain detects danger. For example if you see a dangerous animal or if you need to put your breaks on suddenly in order to avoid an accident. The body's adrenaline soars through you and you'll find yourself moving faster than you ever thought possible. The problem is we don't want this reaction happening when it is unnecessary.

How to Prevent Negative Stress?

Many times during the day when we are in a stressful situation the body reacts in this way and we need to find cures for stress and preventions for stress in order to keep it under control. Our body and mind needs to understand that not every situation where we don't feel comfortable or are under pressure is a dangerous one and consequently we need to know how to tame this reaction and turn off the red light that is flashing in our internal system. It will take some time to master this and we'll learn together several different cures for stress which will prevent negative stress happening when it's not called for.

What Can I Do To Make My Life Less Stressful?

One of the main stress re-leasers is exercise. Whether it's just going for a fast paced walk everyday for at least 30 minutes or if you're more ambitious then you could join a local gym. Besides the fact that your body will thank you for it, you will feel much less stressed out and in actual fact when the stress does kick in it will have much less of an impact. You'll be able to control stress much easier.

I also like to play my guitar which really relaxes me and creates a relaxing atmosphere around the house. But actually you should do any hobby that you enjoy. Usually hobbies are very relaxing as it's something you are putting positive energy into, thereby reducing your stress hormones.

Music also creates a relaxing feeling and it's good to have background music playing whilst you're pottering around the house doing housework etc. It makes a much more relaxing atmosphere than television. In fact television can really get on your nerves without you even realizing it!

There are lots more ideas to choose from and all different kinds of therapies and home remedies which provide cures for stress. One of the best ones has to be laughter..........but we'll talk about that another time.......

Playing the guitar! Seems a good stress reducing strategy but also fun! Singing relaxes me - participating in praise music - playing the guitar appeals to me. Yes, I've found that stress from being in a bad situation is indeed a signal to flee. Unfortunately, my response had been one of freeze in place. Ah well. Learning! Great article. Informative and useful. Laughter article is one I'm looking forward to. Laughter does indeed help!!
