5 Ways To Say Thanks To The Military

July is one of the many times through out the year that really compels your to say thanks to the military! They give so much for our freedom and the way we live. Although we could never come close to really fully expressing the gratitude they deserve, we can at least make an effort to say thanks to the military. I have compiled a very small list in the lite of it all, of five things that we can do to say thanks not only to the military but also to the spouses that also give more than we can possibly comprehend.

#1 way to say thanks to the military:

Pray for our troops. There is no greater duty than this. Enough said.

#2 way to say thanks to the military:

"Operation USO Care Package" $25 is all it takes to send one of these packages to one of our troops with a personal message from you that says thanks. This program is a great way to help the troops feel connected. The care packages are filled with prepaid international phone cards, snacks, travel-size toiletries and other items that troops can use every day. It is a wonderful program that has impacted the lives of many service men and women.

#3 way to say thanks to the military:

Give blood through the Red Cross. Currently only 3 out of 100 people donate blood. Blood that can be shipped to military units in a dire time of need. If you have the ability to give, please do and do it often. This is such a huge need! This is a fantastic way to show support!

#4 way to say thanks to the military:

Volunteer at your local VA Hospital or Nursing Home. This is a wonderful way to show support. You can also volunteer in your local community in order to fill in the gaps for service men and women who were volunteers prior to being deployed. Lend a helping hand to those in need.

#5 way to say thanks to the military:

This last one is geared toward showing support for the spouses of the military. They give so much while their loved one is fighting for our freedom. They live busy lives taking care of home and children. Show thanks by giving back a little bit of freedom. Laundry Freedom goes to the home, picks up the laundry, washes, dries, folds, binds and returns the clothes. Giving back valuable time to do other important tasks. $40 covers an entire week of clothes for a family of four (forty pounds). Give them the freedom from laundry!

This should give you an excellent list of ways to say thanks to the military. Whether you do one of the items or you do all five of them, just do something!

I like the care package idea. I have meet too many people in the military whom come from foster care or have no family, therefore would not get packages from anyone.. It's sad, but doing this does help, even getting a letter when deployed is the greatest feeling ever, no matter who wrote it.
