Solar Plexus Chakra

In order to keep our body healthy and well, the balance and openness of our chakras or energy centers is essential. If our chakras are not healthy, it will be reflected in our life’s circumstances. I am personally thankful for my increasing awareness of the connection between my quality of life and the energy that flows through me and enjoy sharing as I learn.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is the 3rd major energy center of the body, often referred to as the 3rd Chakra. It resonates with the color yellow and the musical notes ‘E’. It is located at the spine behind the belly button.

Physical Symptoms of a Closed Solar Plexus Chakra

Some of the physical dysfunctions that can result from having a weak or closed Solar Plexus Chakra are the following:

  • Colon Diseases
  • Eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, and even chronic over eating
  • Stomach, digestions and intestinal problems
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Emotional Symptoms of a Closed Solar Plexus Chakra

Some of the emotional dysfunctions that can result from having a weak or closed Solar Plexus Chakra are the following:

  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Overwhelming fear of failure or rejection
  • Inability to make decisions
  • Is Your Solar Plexus Chakra Closed?

So…personal power. This is a biggie in our ability to function in the physical world. It is what motivates us to action. It’s the internal faith and confidence in ourselves to achieve our goals. It’s the center for our decision making ability.

I am currently working on strengthening and opening this chakra myself. I know I am not alone in my moments of self doubt and feelings of needing approval from others. But, people we got to get past this! Knowing that we really can achieve our goals and accomplish anything we put our minds to. This is personal power, this is what a Balance Solar Plexus Chakra is.

Do You Have A Balance Solar Plexus Chakra?

Just like we all have moments of self-doubt, we also have moments where we really do believe in ourselves and as if everything is working for our highest good.

We experience ourselves as able to accomplish our goals, and we are connected to our ‘gut’ feeling….not needing anyone outside of ourselves to give us ‘the’ answer.

Now if this is a common experience for you, your Solar Plexus is beaming bright like the sun! This is truly something to be thankful for.

Open It Up

So now it’s time for us to be real, real with ourselves and ask ourselves the question “What’s the State of My Solar Plexus Chakra?”

If you haven’t taken action about the things that are important to you, is it because of your overwhelming fear of failure or lack of confidence in yourself?

Are you always looking for others to tell you what to do?

Are you involved in controlling, abusive relationships?

If yes is the answer to any of these, it’s time to get to work on your Solar Plexus Chakra.

You Have the Power

You have what it takes to open the Solar Plexus Chakra and allow yourself to be flooded with self-love and confidence.

Here’s How:

  • Say daily affirmations that encourage self-esteem such as “I have everything I need to accomplish my goals” or “I am completely capable of making healthy decisions for myself and my life” or “I love myself exactly the way I am”
  • Taking small, manageable action steps toward an important goal. Every time you complete a task, you will send a messages to yourself that you actually are capable.
  • Wearing the color yellow. Wearing yellow stones like topaz, citrine, yellow zircon or amber can actually change the vibrational pattern of this chakra, opening and strengthening it.
