A healthy person is one who enjoys physical, mental, and spiritual soundness of the whole being. The ,mind, body, and soul work in unison. If the mind is affected it would have some effect on the body. Similarly, an unhealthy body affects the mind.

We have been provided with eight health rules which are essential for us to follow in order to maintain and live a healthy life style. These are nutrition, fresh air, exercise, sunlight, temperance, plenty of water, rest, and our trust iin God. Man's original diet was the ideal, and included grains, nuts, fruits, seeds, and vegetables and this has proven to give longevity. When these foods are prepared properly they provide all the nutrients including Vitamin B12. All thes nutrients are needed to make healthy blood. Many people are choosing this vegetarian diet because of health and religious reasons. These foods are rich in fibre and low in fat and work well to lower obesity and control the body's cholesterol.

Fresh air cleans the blood as we inhale the needed oxygen.. Pure clean oxygen filled air helps the function of various body organs. A polluted atmosphere contains poisonous substances which make us ill.. Regular exercise is also beneficial to our body and as little as thirty(30) minutes brisk walking daily is enough to strengthen the heart, clean the circulatory system, tone up the muscles, helps us sleep longer, and strengthen our immune system. It also helps the metabolism process, aids digestion and lessen our stress level.

One of the best healing powers available to us is sunlight. Vitamin D's best source is the sun and we know its importance of absorbing calcium which we need for strong bones. What can be better than a comfortable brisk walk in fresh air and wonderful sunlight?.

To enjoy a healthy life style we have to be temperate in the things we do. We would be advised to stay clear of harmful substances such as tobacco, caffeine, alcohol, and drugs. For these are disastrous to our bodies and cause immense suffering.

Our God is the source of all health. We should depend on him for our total health and healing. Being able to trust in God helps us to deal with stress. The Lord keeps his word and he wants us to prosper and be in good health. Why should we not depend on Him and his promises for a healthy life style?

At least six glasses of pure clean water daily are so important to life and health. Water cleans the system, removes waste and poisonous substances and prevents constipation. The body is made up of about 70% water and to maintain good circulation we must drink enough water daily. The body also needs adequate rest in order to refresh and revitalize. The body needs at least eight hours of restful sleep nightly to restore itself. This will only be possible if we cherish no hatred, anger, and revenge on our minds. Resting without these on our minds makes endorphin, the hormone in the brain, work better to control our pain and help us to feel healthy.

It has been proven that a vegetarian life style lowers and prevents heart disease, diabetes, cancer and many other diseases. I strongly support a vegetarian diet instead of meat, fish and eggs.
