First of all, we need to understand what it is. What are the causes?

It is the way our body responds to our everyday situations. It is like a responder telling our brain what to do when something happens, sometimes giving us a ‘fight or flight’ reaction. So it is actually just like how animals senses and protects themselves from danger.

So in dangerous situations like example, to avoid an on-coming car, it quickly helps you to hit the break or to swerve to the other side to avoid the accidents. It is an inbuilt protection mechanism. It ensures you keep yourself alert as much as possible. Without it, we’d be like a plant or a tree that can easily get burnt when fire breaks out.

But in our modern society, due to our hectic lifestyle, our stress level can go far too high, that we have to cut it down in order that our body can manage better. For example, a heated argument with someone, heavy traffic jam, bills unpaid, getting fired from job, and worries of all kinds can lead to it.

Is it important to get rid of it? What harm can it do to our body? It can cause many health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, unable to sleep, anxiety, depression, digestive problems, autoimmune diseases and many others.

It includes the way you feel about yourself, and your ability to manage your feelings and deal with difficulties. It can make the person feel moody, hot tempered, loneliness and even speed up the aging process.

So what’s the best ways to control it from becoming too hard to handle? We can manage it by changing our thoughts and how we see things. It involves scheduling the way we think or do things– in a positive way. That means we have to adjust ourselves to ensure whatever we do, the outcome or result is manageable, controllable, and even pleasurable.

Meet up with old friends, make new friends, go for outing with your family, volunteer in organization or church, join a club like for dancing, yoga, deep breathing exercises, anything to occupy your time that can help you to relax, enjoy, stay calm, laugh and having fun.

People who do this live with more energy and are productive, have less worries, feels more focused, have high self-esteem, confidence and feels positive in life. So if you want to be so energetic, know that you can control it by your right actions and attitude.
