We all have weak points in our bodies which we can improve, and sometimes we may feel sad and depressed when we look or become aware of these weak points. We might also experience lack of self-esteem as we focus on what’s wrong with our bodies and this does not allow us to focus on more important things in our life, such as realizing our dreams or doing things to be happy.
The only thing we can do to stop this is to actually ACT and do something to improve our physical appearance! We should all start eating more healthy and being more active as this does not only improve our bodies but it also makes us healthier and fitter human beings. Moreover, we should shift our focus from what is wrong in our bodies to what is good and we should be grateful for being ourselves while trying to improve our weak points.
Once a person starts taking action to improve himself he will immediately feel better about himself, even before results actually start showing, and that’s a very positive thing since this makes him even more motivated and more ready to improve. We should all do our best to find some time to exercise at least twice a week or to start practicing a sport we like; this is not only beneficial to the body but also to the mind as it helps us relax and free ourselves from our daily problems and routine.
Challenging our body with physical exercise makes us feel proud of ourselves, especially when we start seeing the positive effects it has on ourselves. When we go up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath, or when we look in the mirror to find a body that is more toned and in better shape we will automatically tune in to a positive mood and feel proud of all our efforts, and we will want to keep on improving! Physical training is very important as it helps us believe in ourselves while it improves our resistance, strength and balance among other things. Our self-esteem will receive a boost and we will be able to focus on more important things as we feel our bodies improving.
Moreover, it is scientifically proven that physical exercise stimulates the release of endorphins in the body, which are substances that create feelings of happiness and well-being. Therefore, keeping fit will improve your mood not only because you will feel better about yourself but also due to the production and release of endorphins in your body!
Therefore start now doing what is best to improve yourself physically since by improving physically you will also be improving your inner self as you become more confident and this makes you ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead of you in order to reach your goals and make your dreams come true!
Thank You! :)
Good article, I definitely feel better after doing physical exercise and have a lot more energy.
Good for you! It's amazing: People think they work out in the morning, they will have less energy during the day, but it's the opposite. A little easy 30 min work out will leave you pumped up all day! Thanks for the comment!
I always have good intentions but find it hard to stay engaged with the exercise routine.
Haha me too. We just have to focus on it and get it done. it gets less and less hard the more we do it! :)
Totally agree! A few minutes of exercise per day can really do the trick. We just need to adopt the habit. How hard can that be? nice article!
I do find it a bit hard to fit it in my schedule but one you get going it becomes less and less hard. Thank you for the comment!
Thanks for your comments Joan. I agree: any form of exercise is god for us. I hope I can fit in more of it!
Your article gives me the inspiration I need. I find I don't have time for exercise unless I make time for it.
Glad we inspired you Georgia. Thanks for the comment. it's very much appreciated! :)
Just so everybody knows: I (Chris), didn't write this article. It was written by a ASecretForYou blogger. We wanted to include this is the article itself but SA doesn't allow Author Bio to be incorporated within the article.
Good article, I do agree with you on this one and I never feel better than when I've been out on a walk about looking for photo opportunities, the up and down and round and round always makes me feel good when i get home.
It does doesn't it? Keep it up Rob. Just now I am seeing the benefits of working out and eating healthy. Thanks for checking out the article.
I'm with you Rob. I know exercise makes me feel better but it has to be an accident to get it done. I tell myself that I'm exercising when I go to work... all those feet to put shoes on make me do my fair share of squats! lol
Everything helps Heather.. just try to do anything you can do. I am now making an effort to keep healthy
A tip for you Heather, drink more coffee in between, just don't add sugar..........
roflol... got that Rob! Chris, I can do more! I just don't want to! Sigh... obviously my weak point!
Thanks for the reminder! I work with some people with traumatic brain injuries and I want to help them focus on what they can improve as they are trying to relearn computer skills. This week I will help them focus on these steps first!
