How many days of the week do you tell yourself: “I love you”. How many times do your hear these words to yourself? How much time throughout the day do you take to love yourself? Most people never do it! Today I want to show you how to learn to love yourself and the two exercises that are linked to love yourself and that will change your life forever.
People forget to love themselves and have nothing to give. I always thought that this was not true, but based on my experience; I can say that it is. I always thought that I just have to love everyone else and that will fill me up. It did in a way, but now it comes naturally and it’s not a struggle to do so anymore.
Here is one exercise that will fill you up with love for yourself that people will become attracted to you like metal is attracted to a magnet. The bigger the magnet the stronger the metal will stick. The bigger the love for yourself the more people will be drawn to you. Things will happen for you that you never expected by doing these two exercises.
Exercise one: I love you.
Take a mirror in front of you and say to yourself: “I love you”. Do it for as long as you can. Pick a time frame from 1 minute a day to 10 minutes do as much as you like. Do it every day and let the magic happen.
I remember when I was 18 years old; I heard a speaker that recommended to everyone to do the exercise. I did it for 3 days and after that, I stopped doing it. Fast forward and now I am 24 years old. I made some small improvements with how I feel about myself, how much people loved me or how I loved other people.
Two months ago I started to do the exercise every day. And in two month time I have seen changes in how people perceive me like you wouldn’t believe. My magnet became stronger and stronger and I am able to attract people to me more and more by just loving myself. This exercise is one of the most powerful practices for loving other people that I have ever experienced. I know it’s difficult to believe and I didn’t when I was 18 years old, but keep on doing it and everything will open up for you.
Exercise two: Meditation.
It’s very simple. Imagine this incredible amount of unconditional love and energy that pours on to you every day of your life. It's pouring and pouring on to you like the sun shines on the earth. The sun never stops shining. The sun will never say to the earth: “You owe me”. This love will never ask anything of you. It will pour on to you and will be forever grateful for what you were able to receive and never want anything in return.
The only reason why you can’t feel this power is because of the noise that distracts you. With meditation you get rid of this noise and the more the noise will silent itself the more this love will be able to fill you up and in return, you will naturally want to fill others because you will not have enough space to hold on to that love within you.
How do you meditate?
Best would be if you sit vertically, but you don’t have to. And the only thing you have to do is close your eyes and sit in silence. You will at first have a lot going on in your mind and it will be difficult; however, don’t worry about it not working for you, no matter how many thought you have or how distracted you are, the most important is your intention to silence yourself. Sit down and do nothing.
How long will it take for you to see the changes?
As I mentioned before I started the first exercise 2 month ago and meditation 3 months ago. I really couldn’t believe how fast everything changed for me, considering that all my life I have never really taken the time to love myself. I don’t know how fast it can happen for you and naturally I am a work in progress myself but if you keep on doing the exercises more often than not during one week, things will change for you, just pay attention to how people will behave around you.
What changes will you see?
You will see that your smile will become more beautiful, your face will shape in a different way when you smile and naturally form itself to fit how you feel about yourself. And if you love yourself your face will express that.
You will see how people will naturally want to be with you, hang around with you and want to talk to you. You will also see how people will give you more compliments. They will praise you. It will start with one person saying something that they have never said before to you, perhaps a close friend or a stranger.
Just pay attention and see the world around you change according to how you feel about yourself and let it happen.
