Best Phones for Big Fingers…

I’m so happy the days of the tiny smartphones are well and truly gone, because if you’re like me and have regular sized hands, you will value every extra inch of screen space or every millimeter of button size on our handsets.

It truly is a struggle on some handsets when I go to write a text or an email, and I've even had to change phone simply because of this problem, so how can we avoid this problem? By picking the best smartphones for big fingers of course!

So without any more bother, here are the top phones for us big fingered souls…

Emporia Talk

By far the easiest phone to use with big hands, but it is also the most simple phone on this list, putting many of us off.

The design is a standard one, with the non-color screen and physical keypad, which boasts keys that are humongous.

You won’t ever face any issues dialing or texting with the Emporia Talk, but you will almost certainly be criticized for having such a basic phone.

They also have a flip version of the phone called the ‘Click’ which is basically the same, just with a flip screen, offering a bit more of a view for its display.

If you’re a fan of touch screens and apps, you definitely shouldn't invest in these handsets, but if you need a phone that rings and texts and is super-friendly to big fingers, then they could be the way to go.

HTC Mogul

A much more advanced handset compared to the Emporia, the HTC Mogul sports a slide out physical keyboard, with finger friendly buttons.

It offers a very spacious keyboard, in full QWERTY style, catering for the big fingered businessman and social media lovers.

It’s from a big name as well, so you can sit safe knowing that updates for the device will be regular and consistent, despite not being a flagship model by any means.

iPhone

When I say iPhone, I mean any model up from and including the 4S, which run the latest version of iOS.

Whilst iPhone’s don’t boast a physical keypad, their touchscreen keyboards are very responsive and easy to use, and can include everything from your standard letters, to engaging and hilarious emoticons, without the hassle of remembering sometimes complex letter combinations.

Working with a brilliant touchscreen is obviously a big help, and definitely helps those with big fingers handle their smartphone issues simply and easily.

Nokia Lumia 1020

This is another touchscreen phone, but arguably sporting the best keyboard on any handset right now, in thanks to its design and general size of its screen, which is far larger than the iPhone 5s.

It’s beautifully responsive, and works brilliantly, not making any mistakes, even when texting at super-fast speeds, really standing out on the touchscreen front.

Definitely worth investing in if you want a flagship handset which will work with those larger fingers.

Apps Can Help!

Of course if you’re tied down in a contract right now, you can always download apps to help you out, with SwiftKey really topping the keyboard app charts right now, increasing speed and usability, no matter what phone you happen to be using!
