When Samsung released the Galaxy Note II they wanted to create and dominate the new "Phablet" arena. They accomplished both! It was such a dominating force that I couldn't help but to purchase one. There are many features that are advertised plenty for this phone and many others that are great but not advertised at all...but I believe the following are the Top 5 Samsung Note II features. A link to the complete features and specifications will be following the article.
3. Dual Cameras
Samsung has equipped the Note II with a 8.0MP camera for taking fantastic pictures. What makes this camera stand out from the rest is the "Best" photo feature. With this feature the camera will take 8 photos in burst mode and chose the "Best" photo out of the bunch to save to your device or memory card. Don't worry if you don't trust the Note II to chose the best photo because you have a chance to view all 8 and chose for yourself. I have caught myself using the 4x digital zoom on many occasions. Of course this camera comes with many setting to play with as well as effects...Trying to get that perfect picture of your face to send to a loved one? The Note 2 also come with a face facing 1.9MP camera to snap that perfect picture!
2. 5.5" Screen
Is 5.5" (14cm) too big for a mobile phone screen? In my opinion no way! I like many others are using my phone more than my laptop and TV for entertainment, information, and productivity. The screen has an excellent 1280x720 resolution using the HD Super AMOLED technology. Most people worry about battery life with a screen of this size but I can easily watch 2 movies and with normal usage I will go over a day without needing a recharge.
1. S Pen
The one feature that separates the Note II from any other mobile phone is the S Pen. When I first bought the phone I thought it would be nice to have a "pen and paper" with me at all times. While the S Pen certainly does provide excellent note taking there is much more that the S Pen offers. A feature that I consistently use is the "cut & paste." You can outline anything on the screen by holding the side button and pushing the pen tip down to tracing what you want. After you complete a circle or any closed shape you can paste the image to the countless apps or just save it in your phone. I use this all the time when I want a piece of a website or Facebook post to send to someone. The S Pen earns a 10/10 on usability!
The top features for the Samsung Galaxy Note II are 1. S Pen 2. 5.5" Screen 3. Dual Cameras. I recommend this phone or soon to be out Samsung Note III to any heavy data or app user!!!
