Best Cell Phone Services Vs Cheap Cell Phone Service

What are the best cell phone services? Who offers a cheap cell phone service? The real question is what's the best plan for you, right?

Well, here's an overview of the cell phone industry that I think may help you make a decision. FIrst off I'd like to take this opportunity to say a little about why I'm writing this article. I had a conversation with an old friend years ago about contracting with these big cell phone companies, you know the ones Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, ETC. to use their towers and start a smaller service of my own. A prepay, unlimited, around $50 a month service. I was told that I was crazy to think anything like that would work. Wouldn't you know it about 3 years later prepay services aka the cheap cell phone service started getting a lot bigger and more and more people had prepaid phones.

Now, years later it seems to me that just about everyone I know has a prepaid is it the best cell phone services or the 'crappy' cheap cell phone service these days? I've done a bit of research and I found that prepay may actually be a bit of both now. These days you can go into any wal mart store and see services like straight talk which uses the verizon network for just $45 a month unlimited everything and no contract to sign. And right next to that straight talk phone there are five other cheap cell phone services that are prepaid and are offered by the same big guys such as AT&T, Sprint, Verizon. The down side is that you have to buy a phone that straight talk sales, and these phones aren't exactly cutting edge technology these days, but they still do just fine and for the most part they do everything the new phones do. I mean, they get online, they text, camera with picture text, you can IM people from them, Twitter, O yeah and the occasional phone call. Now, these phones aren't full blown computers like the iPhone but you have to get into a contract under one of the so called best cell phone services for at least 2 years for an iPhone still. Granted it's much cheaper now to get into the contract and the unlimited service plans start around $60 as opposed to $100 a month like they used to be. $60 isn't much more money than the prepaid cheap cell phone service plans are at around $50. And these phones with the contracts are still the best cell phone services out there, they just involve a two year contract to get into them. But that contract also comes with the phone being much cheaper whereas the prepay plans make you purchase the phone at full price.

So, a few things to think about when it comes to best cell phone services vs. cheap cell phone services right? Yes. Unfortunately with all the competition out there, there are a lot of choices but that's whats great about a society with choices...eventually you can find the perfect plan for you. Me personally I like the cheap cell phone service as opposed to the best cell phone services because I don't need all the features that are offered on the high tech phones these days. And because they actually use the same networks so I'm not losing signal or anything that you may expect out of a cheaper phone. I'm not a multi-million dollar business man and don't have to make quick decisions and do something online asap to get my decision into effect. If I were I'm sure I'd be clamouring about how wonderful my iPhone 4 is and how I have one of the best cell phone services.

In summary, the main two questions that I believe in my humble opinion to ask yourself when it comes to choosing between a cheap cell phone service or one of the best cell phone services are these two questions: Do I NEED to have a high tech phone for my day to day life? And, are my true cell phone needs going to be met with this cheap cell phone service, if I don't buy into one of the best cell phone services? O yeah, and do I realy want to be in a virtually unbreakable contract? So maybe there are three questions I think we need to ask ourselves.

For a bit more about my story...and kind of a funny story about me and my below and tell me what you think. Is it better to spend more and have high tech nicer things? Or maybe spend less have the freedom of no contract and still have the same basic service?
