I know you all possess cell phones at this day and age, but with so many different phone companies out there. It's hard to focus on one. You got Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Boost Mobile all seemingly going head to head for a race to the top. What are the similarities between these services you ask? They all provide you with talking, texting, and internet service. Only ONE of them provides you with the hassle of having no late fees though. Have you ever wondered who came up with this ingenuous idea and where did it come from. I learned quite a few things myself on the history of the biggest no late fee, no hassles, contract free cellular phone to date.
Where Did It Originate?
This national idea of a cell phone came from a man who lives in Australia who goes by the name of Peter Adderton. (I figured that this idea was only existence was in the United States but Nooo) It started in 2000 out in New Zealand. It became known to the U.S. the following year when Kirt McMaster(owner of Nextel) had aligned himself with Peter. He later took over the United States portion of Boost Mobile in 2003.
How Often Has Their Road To Success Updated?
After being bought out in 2003 and only being recognized by two states(California and Nevada). The rest of the country didn't see this up and coming corporation until late 2004. That's when they came out with those chirp phones that were somewhat annoying at the time. They only costed a dollar a day back then. In 2006, that's when the unlimited talking, texting, and internet service became a big deal for this company. In January 2009, the monthly plan came in to play. In October 2010, the plan known to the rest of us as the "Shrinkage" plan became a big smash. By April 2011, the android smartphones arrived and it was all cake and ice cream from there.
How Do Their Plans Operate?
Their monthly plans are decided by the phone that you are currently using. Starting off they're either $50, $55, or $60. That's if you own a regular phone(so-so phone), android smartphone(go-go) or blackberry. You do NOT have a contract with these phones. HOWEVER, if you pay on time for six consecutive months, they'll take off $5 until it gets $15 below your starting price. You can also add $5 a month for the insurance and $10 a month for the Wi-fi.
Why Is It A Good Reason To Own One?
Besides not having a contract which is a good reason in itself. They come out with new styles of these phones on a monthly basis. You will always find one that you would like. It's also easy to find a Boost Mobile store lurking around in the shadows. You won't have to go far to find one which ultimately is a great thing.
Well, there you have it. I've explained in good detail many things about this particular cell phone company. You found out how, where, when, and who originated it. How long its been up and running and how their plans operate. How often do new boost phones come out.Why it is a good reason to have something like this.
