Many people complain about lack of motivation.
They say they intend to achieve important goals in their lives, but they cannot keep themselves on track to get everything done.
There are two main reasons why most people can’t stay motivated in their attempt to reach their targets.
The first reason is that they are not crystal clear about their goals. They would like to achieve something, but either they are afraid to exactly formulate what it is or are just undecided among several contradictory goals.
The fear of specifying a certain wish comes from the lack of belief in the possibility of fulfilling their desire. They just don’t believe that it could happen to them for not deserving it or for just being a too high goal for them to be ever achieved.
Usually, the lack of people’s clarity regarding their goals comes from the superficial approach of setting goals.
They don’t take the necessary time and dedication to determine which goals are really important to them to stick to.
The second reason is that many people don’t have the discipline to accomplish their goals. They don’t understand that they have to make small steps each and every day to get closer to their goals. If they cannot have it fast, they lose interest.
The lack of patience mixed with a low self-esteem determines those people to change often their minds and that’s why they are enthusiastic at the beginning for losing soon the momentum.
If you are in this situation, the first thing you have to do to solve the lack of motivation problem is to decide and set a goal, only one single goal. It will probably take some time, but it is important to clearly decide what you really want to accomplish, what is your most important goal in your life.
Then, even if you cannot figure out how this goal can be achieved, you have to follow the discipline to do every day just a small step in the settled direction.
Another important thing is to take daily the time to get inspiration to follow your dream.
Read about people who succeeded, watch motivational movies and listen to motivational speakers. Don’t watch the news and avoid staying around negative people. Surround yourself and your working space with motivational quotes and with sources of positive energy.
Choose to spend your time with positive people that can inspire you to keep following your targets.
Being persistent and self-disciplined in applying your plan and staying concerned to get inspiration from your outer environment will help you increase your belief in succeeding.
Remember that the belief is the most important factor in achieving any goal. Belief ignites your motivation to work to get closer to what you want to accomplish.
