One day we will all enter into that Cinema of life for the last time. We will take our seats, the lights will dim, the curtain will rise, and a hush will fall over the crowd. One day our lives will flash before our eyes…. Make sure it is worth watching!
What a powerful and daunting statement “One day your life will flash before your eyes….Make sure it is worth watching.” I ask you today is your life worth watching? Will it be worth watching on that day?
Will you be proud of the way you used your time and talents or will you be ashamed because you squandered them. Will you stand proud because you lived by the Golden Rule and tried to do right by your fellow man, or will you be ashamed because you were a sorry S.O.B?
Daunting, sobering questions of life; we need to stop our busy lives and do a checkup from the neck up. Are my priorities in the right perspective? What am I chasing in life? Do I put my family first or is the almighty dollar taking the place of time with the family? Are you busy trying to buy your children’s love instead of giving them what they really want and cherish, your time; have you clothed the naked, gave food to the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty?
Okay, now I am really going into unchartered waters, I am going to start prying. How is your spiritual life? I don’t care what faith or religion you practice. I am concerned with whether you are nurturing and caring for a spiritual life. If your life is out of whack, if it is out of balance it is time for a reality check. Maybe, just maybe it is time to let a spiritual being, whatever you chose it to be back into your life. Now, that wasn’t so bad, was it?
Life is balance, John Gray of Men are from Mars, women are from Venus fame says, in his book “How to get what you want, and want what you have” there are 5 love tanks and when one gets more, then the rest of the 5 become unbalanced and life gets all messed up. I challenge you today to get quiet in your favorite place and assess where you are in life. Are you living a life you can be proud of if you were to draw that final breath? If not, you still have time to fix it. Start by getting your life balanced. It includes work schedule, exercising, spiritual practices, love life & family. Remember, when one of these areas is out of whack they are all out of whack. Take away message from this blog today is start rebalancing your life. Remember when your life passes before your eyes you want it to be one that you and your friends and family will be proud of not one that will be an embarrassment. Now get out there and start the rebalancing process and have an awesome day.
