I want to talk about perseverance and will, because it will take you blood, sweat and tears to get across the mountain, but it will sure be worth it.
Life will take you up and down. You’ll find yourself among people who totally support you in your ambitions and ideas, and then you’ll have people who underestimate and ridicule you. One day you’ll feel excited, uplifted, almost like you have everything you’ve ever wanted and needed, and next day you’ll feel exhausted, pissed off, all alone and broken. That’s life. And what takes you through all of that? For me, it’s all the reasons that stand behind what happens, and there are reasons for everything that happens. You just have to find them and become aware of them. Most challenging and disturbing events or experiences might give you the biggest lessons. When something happens to you, take a step back, and see what stands behind all of it. From what has that manifested? What good can you get out of it? The more questions you ask, the more answers you’ll find.
And look for clues everywhere. Locate those small dots and link them into clear and strong map that will get you to where and who you want to be. And go there. Work on that everyday. Every day. Ask yourself each day if you’ve done anything to get you closer to that. Reward yourself for each progress you’ve made. And you really don’t have to know all the details about your path.
Loosen up, relax and enjoy the ride! There’s one good saying that goes something like; ‘You don’t have to see each of the steps to get on top of stairways’. That says so much if you think about it...
And this all goes back to perseverance and will, and making the right compromises. Think about this. If a hurricane destroyed your house, would you settle up for sleeping on the rain and snow or would you get whatever it takes to build a new house as soon as possible?
Your personal reasons are the main driving force you may ever have. You’ve got this life and make sure you use it. One good friend of mine once told me. Imagine you’re old and ill and you know you’re about to die. You take a look back at your life. What do you want to see there?
And why am I talking all that stuff here?
It’s because life is a challenge. Thousands of things will go your way. Some of them will try to push you from your path (which, actually, is only the matter of perception), and other will give you a boost. That’s why you have to look a long way upfront. Make your dream a goal. And always be aware of it. Don’t let the small things distract you from it. Think about it every day.
Taste it, smell it, breathe it, see it. Feel it.
Be it.
