Television Sets have evolved drastically over the past 20 years or so and continue on creating new ways towards complete realism. With all the little extras like 3D and Smart TV's, we are complete with an overall exciting entertainment experience.
Some of today's Top Rated Flat Screen TV's simply would have seemed unimaginable 20 years ago. I remember getting ready for school watching my very own TV set thinking this is the life. My own TV. Black and white and what would have been about 10 inch's with a coat hanger plugged into the aerial socket to get reception was very cool to me. Not that we didn't have color back then, but because I had my own Television. Even if it was black and white and the size of today's i Pad.
Nowadays I'm always chasing after the newest and greatest Television sets I can afford. There's just something about owning the latest technology that grabs me. Of course I do my due diligence and make sure I'm not buying a lemon. But for each person, their requirements will vary from person to person.
Some factors I take into consideration are: Is it a Smart TV. Nowadays being able to connect to the internet, it is important to look for a system that suits your internet compatibility. Does the set have wireless or Ethernet connection or both. Some remote controls are double sided and have a nifty keyboard on the back. Or maybe you want the latest craze of using just your hand to control the flat screen without using a remote.
Another major influence for which I take into account is brand name and reputation. For me i won't go near a no name Television. If I cant read the name, don't know the name or if it isn't sold from a well established business or website like Amazon. Then I won't even look at it. But that's just me.
Do you need a 3D TV. I don't need 3D, but I want 3D . This is also evolving in the world of Televisions day by day. Some come with battery operated 3D glasses, whilst some come with glasses like you wear at the cinemas. Those Real 3D Glasses.
In the world of Gaming, 3D is also starting to build up it's reputation. More and more 3D games are hitting the shelves every time I turn around. Now with 3D multi-player split screen is no longer an excuse. Take the battlefield with the whole screen to yourselves and never be accused of screen looking again. Two people, two screens but just one Television.
Does size matter when buying a Flat Screen. Of course it does. This is one instance when size does matter. Obviously buying a 80 inch screen for ones small bedroom might be somewhat overboard. Whilst buying a 22 inch screen for a massive open entertaining area might be somewhat undersized. So it's important to take into consideration the location of where your new TV will live. Also if your planning to move into a bigger house for example, maybe consider a larger flat screen TV in advance, so when it comes time to move, you don't have to go out and upgrade to an appropriate sized screen to suit your new home.
When it comes down to it, its totally a personal decision on what type of Television you do buy. Don't let some salesperson talk you into buying something you had no intention of buying, instead do your research and you might just be surprised at how much easier and cheaper it is finding the right flat screen TV for you.
