Let me share my own Machete 2010 movie review after me and my wife watched this movie just now. For me, it was great! The action plus the sexy stuffs are cool. I also miss those Desperado type movies and this one brought it out to me. It includes a lot of brutal actions and daring scenes that looks great (at least for me).
How We Ended Up Watching this Movie
Believe it or not, we just came across this movie because of searching for Lindsay Lohan films. I was talking to my wife and telling here that I'm currently looking for a Chinese movie to watch. But after the conversation went on, I don't know why we just talked about Lindsay Lohan and her movies and stuffs like that. My wife then, being a fan of Lindsay searched for her movies and google said that Machete was her last film so far. She then went ahead and searched for the movie.
When I woke up this morning, we were having our breakfast when she opened the movie Machete. I then said, "Okay let's watch it." At first, we thought she was mistaken in grabbing a Lindsay Lohan movie since apparently she's not there. I was just surprised that this tough Mexican guy Danny Trejo who used to be a villain is the hero here. Well, we still went on and on and okay, Lindsay is there though she is not the lead actress really.
The Movie Famous Casts
The film appears to be great because it includes a lot of great actors such as Robert De Niro, Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, and others. Of course, it is also full of hot chicks such as Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Electra Avellan, Mayra Leal, Alicia Rachel Marek, Cheryl Chin, Nina Leon, and of course Lindsay Lohan (first hot role I have seen from her so far).
Machete Story Review
The story might be a little bit kind of action movies that we already watched before but it still worked well for me. It's about Machete as a hero trying to save his fellow Mexicans from American politicians and other bad guys who are driving them away from the borders. Though Machete and his fellow Mexicans are not really abiding the law because of lacking papers and what not, the American bad guys are also too much in driving them away like killing them. The end was justified though by Machete and others fighting for their right.
And even though Machete is not that kind of a handsome leading man, his ending was great having a very beautiful girl Sartana (acted by Jessica Alba) as her love. He is really lucky but for me, he really deserves it in the movie.
Overall, the film is great and I enjoyed watching it really. At least it breaks the handsome guy being the hero stuffs that we use to see in some movies out there. I haven't watched for a while and I think I'm going to watch another movie later. Catch you again soon in my next movie review.
Gotta love when someone who usually plays a villain gets to be the hero. Even better that he gets the girl in the end. Thanks for bringing this movie to our attention.
Hey, great movie, thanks for letting us know about it. I might have missed it if i didn't read your review!
Me too. I'm fortunate enough to find this article. I'll subscribe to RSS now so I won't miss any great movie.
I like that guy, what's his name Danny Trejo or something like that right?
