Timothy Olyphant Stars In This Is Where I Leave You

Timothy Olyphant has been in New York filming This Is Where I Leave You. Olyphant joins director Shawn Levy's ensemble cast to film the movie based on a book by Jonathan Tropper.

The story revolves around a dysfunctional family who has joined together to sit shiva when their father passes away. Judd (Jason Bateman of Arrested Development), is the center of the story. Judd has not only lost his father, but has recently lost his wife,Jen, (Abigail Spencer) to a radio shock jock after a rather public affair. Dax Shepard channels Howard Stern in this role.

The funeral brings Judd together with his siblings, old friends and a mix of relatives. They are all gathered in religious rite, even though none of the family seems particularly religious. Their father lived like an atheist but took his children to synagogue on holidays because in his words "I could be wrong".

During the course of the seven days and nights of sitting shiva, old hurts and recent life events come to light. The siblings must deal with their mother, Hillary Foxman (Jane Fonda) who has a tendency to dress a little sexy for her age. Mrs. Foxman is a therapist who has written a definitive book on child rearing, using her own children as examples.

Judd's sister, Wendy, (Tina Fey), is married with three children. Her husband is an obsessed businessman, who doesn't treat her very well. Wendy is obsessed with thin women.

Paul Foxman (Corey Stoll) is Judd's older brother. Paul runs a sporting goods store that belonged to his father. He and his wife, Alice, (Kathryn Hahn), are desperately trying to conceive a child. Alice doesn't quite get the Foxmans. She is taking fertility drugs which make her gain weight.

Judd's youngest brother, Phillip (Adam Driver) is the youngest child and the wild free spirit of the family. He experiments with drugs and dates models. Phillip surprises the family by bringing along his latest love, Tracy (Connie Britton). Tracy is much older than Phillip. She is a therapist. She explains that she is engaged to be engaged to Phillip.

Horry (Timothy Olyphant of Justified) is the next door neighbor's son. His mom, Linda, is a good friend of Hillary Foxman. Horry was Wendy's high school boyfriend. He sustained a brain injury in a bar fight and is unable to live on his own.

Penny (Rose Byrne) is Judd's old high school crush. She is now employed at the Foxman's Sporting Goods Store. She loves to ice skate and she makes Judd think of kissing in the rain.

Judd has to deal with the issue of fatherhood on a whole new level when his wife, Jen, shows up and announces she is pregnant with his baby. The week he spends with his family, helps him to come to a greater understanding of his father. He also learns not only more about his mother, but he comes to know himself as well.

This delightful ensemble cast will bring to life the wry humor and the desire of the Foxman family to reconnect and heal the past. The movie is currently filming in New York. This is Where I Leave you will be released in 2014.
