The Fender Frontman 212R Guitar Combo Amplifier packs loads of oomph into a small unit and is Fenders best selling amplifier. Whether you are just learning to play the guitar, or a seasoned player, you are provided with a beautiful tone and enough power to play ensembles or live gigs.

The design of the amplifier has the controls laid out linearly across the top. From left to right are the 1/4 inch jack inputs for you instrument and a pedal. The second input has a pad on it.

On each channel, you will find a three band equaliser and a volume control. You then have overdrive and a contour knob that allows you to shape the mid range and after this, comes a reverb dial for both channels.

When you use the second (overdrive) channel, you will notice that the response is really tight and you will not need any more pedals as it has enough gain to give real grit to your playing. The reverb section of the amp gives decent colouration of your sound at about the halfway stage on the dial so there is plenty of room for those that like a long reverb tail.
