How To Play A Ukulele For Kids

In the last few years, the interest in Ukulele playing has shot through the roof with phenomenal pace and many people have taking it upon themselves to buy a Ukulele and teach themselves to play, and it has also become of high interest amongst children wanting to learn to play an instrument.

The great thing about the Ukulele is it is an easy enough instrument to learn to play (of course with plenty of practice) and it is one of the cheapest instruments to buy which is great news for parents. As I have seen locally and on the internet, lots of kids taking this instrument with in their hands and plucking away it is a very warming site and a much better vision than a child spending to much time with a computer game in hand.

Teaching A Child To Play Ukulele

The Ukulele has become one of the coolest instruments to play thanks to celebrities such as Pearl Jams Eddie Vedder and Kate Micucci and also TV programmes and radio stations are now talking about this instrument. Also, YouTube is a big factor with encouraging children to play and you needing look any further than the Ukulele Boy videos (well worth checking out) to see why children love this instrument.

Though encouraging your kid with some music lessons would be the best way to teach a child to play Ukulele, this for most parents can seem way too expensive and people just do not have the money for this. It is possible to use some of the thousands of videos on YouTube to help your child learn to play but again this is not as good as having someone with experience correct your child if they are doing something wrong.

Using Music Software

Another very popular alternative is using a Ukulele teaching music software called “ Beatnik's Speak Ukulele2 course” which is a downloadable teaching programme that teaches you to play chords as well as recognize them by ear. Beatnik's music software is perfect for adults and children, beginners or experienced and is been used by customers in classrooms or a private student environment.

It is an excellent teaching programme because you can set up a lesson plan, set the controls and then let the student practice along in auto-play mode. Your child can then sit along side the music software learning chords and reading sheet music, a lot like playing a video game only actually gaining a talent and interest and learning to play a musical instrument all at the same time.

The growth in popularity of learning to play the Ukulele amongst adults and children will continue to grow as will the following of Beatnik's Speak Ukulele Course as it is an easy, fun and unique way to teach a child how to play Ukulele and hopefully like myself, become a Ukulele mad enthusiast.
