Are you an inspiring rap artist looking to get your career started? Well, that's not going to happen unless you know how to find hip hop beats. There is a number different styles of hip hop beats these days. West Coast, Dirty South, East Coast, Dance Music, Trap Music, Snap Music, the list goes on and on. But, which one do you go with and how do you find them? I'll give you a few suggestions below.
1. HOW TO FIND A HIP HOP BEAT - DO IT YOURSELF
You can always take the Kanye West approach and learn how to make your own beats....the only problem is that if you haven't been doing this already, you probably are going to make some pretty trashy beats. Making hip hop beats takes time, skill, and experience. There are some lowcost solutions that are available on the internet if you know how to search for them. You can visit www.makebeats4less.com to get information on eBooks, video training, and low cost hip hop beat makers. If you can learn how to make hot hip hop beats, then this will definitely be the cheapest and most rewarding ways of making your hip hop music. You get the check for writing the song, performing it, and producing it!
2. HOW TO FIND A HIP HOP BEAT - SOCIAL NETWORKING
A few years ago, when myspace.com was "The Thing", artist and producers would make music pages and post their music and their beats. I'm sure that there are still a few of them out there on myspace that still do this, but there are other social networking site that will allow you to post your hip hop music, which also means that you should be able to find hip hop beats from beat makers around the world! One of the sites that I frequent to find a good beat maker that fits my style is soundclick.com. You can search for instrumentals and when you find a few that you like, you can contact the person who made and see if you can work out a deal for the beat. In my opinion though, if neither you nor the person you are trying to get the beat from have made a hit song....There's no reason to actually pay for anybody's hip hop beat. Hip hop beat makers need hip hop artist just as much as we need them.
3. HOW TO FIND A HIP HOP BEAT - GET A MEMBERSHIP!
There are a few websites out there that have beat makers who are selling their beats. These guys, who also have never made a hit song, feel as though they can charge a lot of money for their work. I agree that they should get paid for their work, but not the outrageous prices that are being asked by local producers. Again, their beat may be the hottest hip hop beat on the planet but unfortunately for them, if they don't have the talent to put the perfect words to their own hip hop beat. That's where you come in! So you should be charging them for your vocals then, right....?

It's too easy to make music nowadays and it's really difficult to appreciate and find some good music. Keep up the good work though.
