Getting an acoustic guitar case is imperative when you fork over the money for a new acoustic, but which one do you choose? In this article I review the top 5 best quality guitar cases that I know of. A guitar case is a very important purchase to protect your investment from damage. Read this article to discover the best armour for your guitar. These are all heavyweight champions in the guitar case realm.
5. The Silver Creek Vintage Dreadnought Archtop Case in Black-
This is a really retro looking addition to my article here. Everything about it is made to look like cases that were made post World War 2. It is made of Black Tolex material and has a crushed velvet interior. The Silver Creek case is also the cheapest on this list so it is good for someone on a small budget. At $79. it is a real steal. Don't let the price fool ya because it has also got raving reviews and many happy customers to go along with it. 2.5 Out of 5 stars simply because it's reallly basic looking with only 1 storage compartment. We've come to expect more storage these days in our cases. It protects well, though.
Unique Feature- Retro Look
4.Mono M80 Dreadnought Guitar Hybrid Case-
The Mono Case is one of the most durable, thinnest, and lightest guitar bags available on the market today. It may look and feel like a lightweight, but it protects like Chuck Norris. HeeeeYah! It features an ultra light laminated foam shell with ABS panels strategically in place along it's body for extra toughness. For your most precious guitars it will offer exceptional security.
Other cool features are the Clip/Tuck Straps which make air travel easy. It's streamlined design makes slipping through crowds a breeze. Since it is so light weight you don't have to worry about an achy back or sore arms any more either. $229.99 4.9 Out of 5 stars
Unique Features: Streamlined Design, Clip/Tuck Straps
3. SKB Deluxe Universal Dreadnought Guitar Case-
The SKB Dreadnought case has soft foam interiors and a heavy duty fiberglass outer shell. Inside it will hug your guitar tightly along it's whole length. The guitar neck is suppported very well in this case. I would describe the interior as kind of a Cadillac for your guitar to ride in.
The downside is it has only 1 accessory compartment, so only the real necessities should be carried in it.. It would be better if it had more storage somewhere, but it protects better than hardly any other case out there. $154.99 3.8 Out of 5 stars
2. Gator ATA Molded Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar Case With TSA Latches-
This case is constructed of military grade polyethylene and a plush soft red interior and foam as well. It has locking latches that are impact resistant that are meant to be able to take a knocking. Don't worry about this bad boy coming open unexpectedly. No way!
The TSA latches are almost a must have for traveling and getting your instrument through the baggage claim at the airport. This makes the case airline friendly, too. $149.99 4.3 Out of 5 stars
1. Fusion Urban Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Bag
This is the best of the best in my opinion. This is the case Batman would have if he played guitar. Comes with lots of storage areas. There's even separate bags for attaching on if you need more space. Rip stop non PVC backed material and a tough rubberized base stands guard on the outside. Soft non-scratch, non-fibrous material keeps things comfy and confined on the inside. $199.95 5 Out Of 5 Stars
The acoustic guitar can provide great enjoyment for you and can last a long time as long as you care for it. Getting a well-fitted case for your baby is a crucial step in caring for your guitar. Don't let your guitar become scarred or get damaged. Case it up. You can look around and learn more on my website.
