Being Sued By Credit Card Company?

Receiving a court ordered summons can be quite a scary situation and unfortunately, thousands of people across the country are facing credit card lawsuit and are pestered by junk debt collectors for unpaid credit card debts. When facing a lawsuit for unpaid credit card debt, it's important to keep a cool head and review the documents you received with the summons.

Generally, creating a correct response to the summons and complaint is enough to send junk debt agents scurrying away. They count on debtors to not know any better when sued by credit card company. However, if the lawsuit moves on to a court hearing and you are required in writing to present your answers to Interrogatories sign the answer to Interrogatories and have it notarized.

Your creditor's attorney will do what he can to get you to admit that the debt is yours or will attempt to prove that you own the credit card account by asking leading questions. Usually, they will ask a question then reword the question just to make you to give a different answer. Therefore, be careful when it comes to answering any queries from the plaintiff because a single wrong move will haunt you in court.

it's also important to remember that you are only given a few days to file an answer to Interrogatories. In most states, debtors are given thirty days to present their answer. But just to be sure, you have to check with court rules in your state.
