Education As The Developmnet

Education should be the engine for a civic and democratic culture, which is the backbone of a country with greater justice and development, "education and culture are fundamental to improve the development and quality of democracy in the country, and through it, you can fight poverty and build a free and just society. "

Today seems to be a consensus that the development of education directly promotes social and economic development of a region or a country. Also agrees that for this to take effect, and away from the arguments of the Royal Society, is basic and preliminary development of personal skills. The fundamental objective of education in general and schooling in particular is providing citizens and students full training to help them structure their identity and develop their capacity to participate in the construction of society. In this process, the education system should allow the students. as future citizens, reflect, build and implement values that facilitate coexistence in pluralistic and democratic societies, such as respect and tolerance, participation and dialogue.

The maturity and consolidation of democratic societies is given largely by the development of individual skills and have the ability to integrate society and make them functional in collective projects. For this when society in general or a particular country cares and proposes improving their education, you are actually relying on their potential for social progress and its trans formative potential in all dimensions, the personal, political, cultural and technological, economic and productive. And more immediately is being assigned the role of catalyst for the adaptation of society to the rapid changes that occur in each of them.

We agree that an education that enhances personal and social skills to cope with the rapid changes in technology, production and culture is essential for the development of a country. But perhaps we should ask what kind of development we mean. The development concept is also evolved and has grown from a strictly economist to a more human, environmental and sustainable future concept incorporating the right of future generations to live on a planet or a more balanced and fairer (taking as reference the Rio Conference, 1991)this interpretation implies the need for a progressive change of mind in all walks of life, in the individual and in the economic, a change that fundamentally involves understanding education, formal and non-formal, intrinsic and inseparable part of development. A change in which online education has a constructor function. And that is why there is the need for education for development, human (paradoxically), and sustainable in their approach.

Social change and educational needs.

We talked while we live in a world or a "village" global due to the dynamics of globalization of trade in general (first material, manufactured goods, capital, technology, information) and production processes (international division phases production), the development of technologies and means of transport, and the role of the media. These changes make the skills needed to join the process of modernization, and that education should create, are changing. So in many countries the skills acquired by much of the population are becoming obsolete or dysfunctional short term. Finally it is important to have the skills and abilities of citizens to function in daily life and business skills to enter or remain in the world of production or market. It is not enough that a country has a lot of manpower to be competitive, but also need to be qualified.
