Network Marketing Has A Long History Of Leading The Field

How many home based business owners are in the Networking industry? A bunch, that's a given, and more folks are joining various programs on a daily basis. Usually, new comers are introduced to the product by someone already in the business. Expansion usually comes from referrals or introductions made by recent recruits who have been trained or encouraged to build their own personal downline.

You can research the marketplace and discover large groups of successful networking companies. However, you'll find wonderful success stories as well as a few failures, too. No one likes to talk about the losers in their industry, but it's necessary for us to understand the pros and cons, the insiders scoop.

In most cases, we like to take the high road and stick with the leaders and success stories of the networking industry. Regardless of the industry, however, we don't have to look very far to find challenges in both the workforce and the marketplace for various industries.

My first recall of "Networking" was the time we were introduced to Amway. Billions of dollars in sales with tremendous success stories abound in Amway. Great leadership, people like Dexter Yeager in Charlotte, NC, a man known throughout the Amway enterprise. Dexter's leadership included a taping service to motivate and encourage his downline. He exploded his taping service throughout the Amway empire by charging a nominal fee for each auto-ship release to affiliates.

Few start-ups can match the huge success of Amway across the world. It continues to expand across many areas in America while continuing to grow in other countries around the world.

Is it the tactics that trouble many people or the marketing methods used by Amway as well as many other networking businesses? Maybe, don't know for sure. Training of new affiliates is not always the best in my opinion. Too many newbies are trained by whomever introduced them to the business, not a trained expert in the business. I've often wondered why this seems to be the norm for networking companies.

In our opinion, change is good for any industry that uses devious or questionable methods to advance their product or cause. You may not agree and that's OK. We recognize that our methods of doing business may not please everyone either.

How does Network Marketing differ from Internet Marketing? Personal contact by phone or in person is standard operating procedure [SOP] to be successful as a networker. Make a list of 100 people that you know to begin. This is called your "warm market" of people who know you. Hopefully, it will be people that believe in you, trust you and willingly follow your leadership.

Your networking goal is the multiplication of persons growing a personal downline. You get your 3 followers offering to help each of them get their 3 followers. Ideally, this is the ultimate progression to a huge downline. However, rejection is the culprit and downfall of the system. Everyone will not follow or lead thus it's never as easy as we had hoped to reach our big downline of followers.
