Final Destination 5 Movie Facts

Final Destination 5 is the most recent movie in the series of fast paced action movies about people who avoid death only to have it try to catch up with them at every turn! The movies first started in the 90's and immediately became cult classics. This is largely due to the gory ways that several people die in each movie.

Previous character deaths of note include people getting signs fall on them, motors from cars flying into their heads, and a crazy scene where a pole flew through someone's skull while they were in a car!

Final Destination 5 is sure to be an instant thrill like the previous Final Destination movies have been.

Final Destination 5 Cast And Crew

This part of the franchise was directed by Steven Quale and stars Nicholas D'Agosto (seen in Fired UP!, Extreme Movie, and the TV show Heroes), Emma Bell (who was fantastic in Frozen, and many short runs in popular TV series), and Miles Fisher (who you may recognize from Gossip Girl and Mad Men).

Final Destination 5's Plot

If you are even remotely a fan of the Final Destination movies you will know by now that each one starts out with a group of young people somehow escaping death. For example, in the first movie someone had a premonition of a huge car crash at a car race and got his friends to leave the stadium just moments before the visions became true.

In the 5th Final Destination movie, the young group of friends survive a suspension bridge collapse. They are warned by someone who "has seen this all happen before" but several die before they really believe what's going on. In past movies they would try to change fate again to reset the balance of nature again. In Final Destination Five, however, the premise seems to be based on the fact that each character needs to kill someone to have the innocent person 'take their place'.

Notable Scenes From The Final Destionation 5 Trailer!

The trailer has some impressive scenes, which will be in 3D in the theaters. These gruesome death scenes include someone dying in a lasik eye machine, a trip and fall out of a skyscraper, industrial accidents, and a gymnast potentially having a huge air conditioning machine fall on her from two or three stories high!

These may not actually happen in the movie's 'real life' though because the previous movies in the franchise have been known to have many premonitions of death that are ultimately avoided by the characters.

Final Destination 5 starts playing in theaters on Aug 12th, 2011.
