Grant Wilson Leaves Ghost Hunters

It was announced yesterday that a fellow paranormal investigator whom we have all come to know and love has decided to leave Ghost Hunters. Ghost Hunters has been on the air with Syfy for about eight years now, and has been the longest running paranormal franchise to hit television.

Grant Wilson, a vivacious and intelligent thirty-seven year old, works as a plumber with Roto Rooter and worked as a paranormal investigator with co-founder of TAPS and best friend, Jason Hawes. He even has a background in web design and creates fantasy characters in his spare time. He can also play the guitar and the piano and occasionally will compose music. Grant is married to his wife, Reanna, and they have three sons. He attends a church, which is nice that they support his paranormal hobby.

His decision to leave the show was an emotional one because he felt like he has gotten so close to TAPS team that it would be like leaving family..his ghost family that is. He also states that he has had great experiences on and off the set and that traveling to all of the locations that they investigated was the adventure of a lifetime.

Jason says that he will miss working with Grant on the show and that he will be missed. He also says that his expertise has helped out so much and that he could not be able to replace him and find another partner for the show as good as him.

It's a good thing to remember that even though Grant is leaving the show, him and Jason are still best friends and we all should be happy for him in his decision to move on. We TAP fans should all remember this and not slam the guy for doin what he feels like is best for him.

Grant will surely be missed...but what will happen to the show now? Any true fan of the show should still watch it and stick around, but will it be enough to keep the show on air? In my opinion, it would be a personal bummber if the longest paranormal franchise on Syfy was cut off after eight years. Ghost hunters to Syfy is like Spongebob to Nickelodeon...and we wouldn't want to see Spongebob go off the show now would we?

Grant's final appearance will be May 16 at 9pm on Syfy. There will only be 20 more episodes to the 2012 season. Who knows what will happen for 2013...
