The three siblings who were accused of crimes in both Florida and Georgia were caught today after a high speed chase in Walsenburg Colorado. Grace Dougherty(29),Dylan Dougherty(26), and Ryan Dougherty(21), were accused for robbing a Georgia bank at gun point, and with shooting at a Florida based police officer. A weeklong nationwide man hunt began looking for these siblings, described to have been driving a white sports car. The chase ended about a mile north of Walsenburg. Two were arrested on the spot with the third arrested on foot after an attempt to escape authorities. Police and the FBI believed that the two brothers and sister were heading to a campground or a rural area to hide from the police.

Earlier the "Dougherty Gang" had been reported to have robbed a bank in Valdosta, Georgia, with automatic rifles and a automatic pistol. They shot the ceiling of the building and took an unknown amount of money from the bank. There they left th scene in a white Impreza where police linked them to the case because they found Ryan Dougherty's ankle moniter near then crime scene. Ryan was issued the moniter after sending sexually explicit text messages to a 11 year old girl, he had been registered as a sex offender Monday. The Gang had also shot at a Florida based police officer on a seperate high speed chase, the officer was not harmed and the trio escaped from a car believed to have been stolen from Ryan Dougherty's girlfriend.

Prior to the crime spree, all there siblings had been living together in Florida. Grace Dougherty had been awaiting other charges in a hit and run and also battery. Where Ryan Dougherty was held on probation for the explicit texts he sent to a little girl. The siblings mom pleaded to them to turn themselves in and it was reported that one of the silbings answered her with a text "everyone has a time to die".

Its good to see that these three dangerous individuals were caught relatively quickly with no harm done to anybody involved despite the fact hat they were carrying automatic weapons. The law enforcement really did an awsome job here and deserve all the praise they are getting. One could only imagine what could have happened had the Dougherty gang not have been caught sooner. There's alot of "what ifs" involved in this case. Its just good to see that none of them came to light in a truly happy ending where the good guys catchs the bad guys.
