Will The US Strike Iran

Recently, we have heard the friction between the United States and Iran, not to mention Israel and Iran. We know there has always been tensions between Iran and Israel even from the Bible times. But recently, all these tensions have heated up to the point where Iran is threatening to shut down the strait of Hormuz. The Strait of Hormuz is the narrow patch of water through which about one fifth of the world's oil ships run through. What will happen to the American economy if the Strait is shut down? Will the US strike Iran militarily if they shut the strait? If Israel does it, will Iran strike back?

Tough Talk From Both Sides

Three days ago, the Defense Minister of Israel issued a statement saying that it was nearing the time when a direct strike on Iranian nuclear facilities was eminent. The American secretary of defense also said that a strike could happen before next spring. If they were going to strike Iran, is a timetable necessary? Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, the Spiritual Head of Iran has warned that any strike on Iran will hurt America 10 times more than It will hurt Iran. Are all these tough talks empty?

The Recovering American Economy

The American economy went into recession in 2008 and all the economies that depended on the dollar went with it. Yours truly lost his business and his home. In my mind, I believe that was as a result of the two Bush wars after 911. I may be wrong, but that is what I believe. Since then the economy has been struggling. Now that the economy has started to recover, the Euro is getting stronger, I get jittery when I hear talk of war. I am like oil prices. I jump up when I hear war Talk, and may not come down because as an oil price, I have the power to defy the law of gravity with impunity.

Is There Any Solution To This Problem?

I know that the world is full of very smart people and the American Congress even though they may look like a do nothing Congress have smart members. The Middle East, Israel and all the rest of them have very smart people. The famous King Solomon of the Bible, the smartest king ever, came from there. Why have we not been able to find a solution to this problem for centuries now? Is it politics or is it pride or is it stupidity? Remember that pride goes before a fall.

Overview

All sides concerned have been flexing their muscles and are emotional about the issue. The Americans have sent their war ships to stand by close to the strait of hormuz. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard have been put on guard. The Israeli Military is on the ready. We must not forget one thing. Any solution to any problem reached under emotion is bound to be wrong. Iran's uranium enrichment laboratories: are they for weapons manufacture? Remember the weapons of mass destruction? Were they ever found?
