Fat Burning Soup Recipe

Eating fat burning foods are a healthy way to lose weight without having to starve yourself. The following fat burning soup recipe is packed full of tasty and nutritious fat burning foods. If you are wondering what a fat burning food is, it is a food which uses relatively large amounts of energy when your body processes it. The body uses more energy to process foods such as berries and lean protein, than it does to process white bread for example. Here is a soup recipe I found which I’ve altered to make into a fat burning soup recipe. This would be ideal to cook in a slow cooker, but if you don’t have one don’t worry – follow the instructions placing all the ingredients in a large pot, bring to the boil and simmer for around 60 - 80 mins.

Fat Burning Beef Broth (slow cooker recipe)

What you’ll need

  • 1kg lean organic beef (cubed)
  • 8-10 sticks of celery
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 3 table spoons of brown rice
  • 8 cups of beef stock
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons of dried thyme
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Right now to get started!

First off partially cook the brown rice and while you are doing this, do the following.

Heat up the olive oil in a frying pan and add the beef. Before it gets too brown, transfer it into the slow cooker (or large pot). Into the frying pan, add the chopped up onions, celery, carrots and garlic and cook for a couple of minutes before transferring them to the slow cooker.

Then finally add the beef stock, chopped tomatoes, bay leaves, thyme and partially cooked brown rice. Add salt and pepper to taste and cook on low for 6 hours.

The vegetables and brown rice in this fat burning soup recipe should leave you with your hunger satisfied, therefore minimising the chance that you’ll pig out on junk food later on. If you do feel hungry between meals, grazing on unsalted nuts and berries (two good fat burning foods) is a good way to ward off the hunger pangs. It is important to exercise to burn fat too as healthy diet and regular physical activity are a powerful duo when it comes to losing weight.

A quick search online will reveal many recipe ideas containing foods which burn fat. However, it is important to understand that you will not slim down just by eating these foods alone. The increase in metabolism gained by eating these foods is slight, but it can be used as another weapon in your arsenal to help you lose weight.
