WHY DO PEOPLE TAKE FISH OIL SUPPLEMENTS?
That's a great question.
If you suggested for me to take fish oil 10 years ago I would have looked at you like you were crazy.
Not anymore, within the last few years I discovered how fish oil is an extremely healthy supplement. I really had no idea that oil from a fish could have such a positive health effect on the human body. I have been supplementing fish oil for the past 2 years and will probably never stop after learning this:
However the bottom line is:
Americans are severely lacking adequate amounts of omega-3 in their diets!
All of the fried foods lack omega-3 and are laden with omega-6 fatty acids.
This imbalance in omegas is not safe for our health and can lead to multiple health problems...
In fact, Harvard University recently conducted a study suggesting omega-3 fish oil deficiency is one of the top 10 causes of death in America!
That is one big reason to supplement with fish oil high in omega-3, especially if you don't eat fish.
Disease prevention is cheaper than disease treatment!
Surprisingly most fish oil supplements are lacking adequate amounts of Omega-3 (only around 300 mg of omega-3 per capsule). Ideally we would like a 2:1 or 1:1 ration of Omega-6 : Omega-3 but Americans currently stand at 20:1!
Fortunately some fish oil supplements can help change that. Just make sure when shopping for fish oil you buy the one with more omega-3!
Multiple recent scientific studies suggest many REAL benefits taking fish oil supplements.
From my research and the knowledge I learned from Dr. Brett Osborn and Dr. Josh Axe there have been numerous scientific studies suggesting the benefits of fish oil:

Why should you take fish oil?
With a list of benefits like that why would you NOT supplement fish oil?
