How Adding Spices And Herbs Can Affect Your Health  -  Part 3 Cayenne Pepper

In the third part of this article series we have come to the amazing spice Cayenne pepper.

This spice belongs to the family of chili peppers (Spanish peppers). This pepper is a rich source of potassium, calcium and vitamins such as beta-carotene, B-complexes, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C. It has health benefits if taken internally and applied topically.

Many different societies use cayenne pepper in curing and maintaining good health since it’s a powerful compound with many uses and benefits. Right now people all over the world is noticing it’s ability for detoxifying and cleansing because the spice neutralizes acidity and stimulates circulation.

Here comes some of the excellent health benefits of Cayenne Pepper:

Helps against colds and flu's- Cayenne helps in breaking up and moving mucus, which helps in getting rid of persistent coughs.

Anti Irritant- Cayenne pepper has the ability to heal sore throats, ulcers and coughs, an upset stomach and diarrhea.

Putting cayenne pepper powder directly into a bleeding wound can stop it from bleeding and will help the wound to heal without a scar or with minimal scaring.

So use this hot, tasty fantastic spice in your cooking as much as possible to enjoy its benefits. There is no need to use a lot since it is both hot and strong, so if you are sensitive a little and instead often will go a long way. If you are a lover of spicy food this is a dream come true.
