Eating healthy has always been the “elusive obvious.” While every fitness enthusiast should be able to cook healthy meals for a diet, it is amazing how the fitness circles have long accepted the notion that “tasty” and “healthy” cannot sit together in one meal. “It’s either healthy or it tastes good, you can’t have both”, the thinking goes. Very outdated notions that just have no room in today’s world. No conceivable reason exists making it a must that meals for a diet have to taste bad. Well, no reason other than you wanting them to taste bad. You see that your mindset plays a big role here, like it does in everything else.
You can after all have both “tasty” and “healthy” at the same time. The following 3 excuses you keep telling yourself are what’s stopping you from doing this.
1. “I have no way of learning how to cook better meals so I just eat out all the time or order delivery.”
No, you do have many resources available that will let you cook delicious meals for a diet. Many cookbooks are out there that are filled with meal recipes to die for that are both delicious and nutritious. These cookbooks contain delicious anabolic meals that help you build muscle while burning fat.
2. “I can try these recipes of meals for a diet but they might be appealing.”
So? If this happens, you just chuck the unappealing recipes out the window and you try new ones. The greatest meal you will have ever had will not necessarily be the first new recipe you try, but it remains that if you don’t try, you will never discover anything new.
3. “Going grocery shopping, preparing, and cooking meals for a diet is time consuming.”
Yes, so is your job, your partner, your kids, and you car repair schedule. But you have to tend to all those other things, right? Well you also have to eat and eat well if you’re interested in any type of fitter body over the long term. Being organized will help you a lot. Prepare a weekly grocery list, do your shopping in one shot, and put time aside twice a week for preparing and cooking your weekly supply of meals for a diet.
Delicious meals for a diet should be the norm in your life. Good tasting, healthy meals will help you achieve your fitness goals and will make your life a lot better, really.
