The best anti aging products would have to address the issue of inflammation, and how to decrease inflammatory responses in the body. Wise and healthy aging would involve what you put in your body, on your body, and what you expose your body too.

Inflammation is a healing process that the body uses to correct rips and tears in the body. If you rip a muscle, it becomes inflamed as the body increases the circulation in order to carry away damaged cells and speed up the creation of new ones. Usually extra fluid shows as swelling. And the area becomes painful.

Inflammation is created in the arteries if the arterial walls are scratched up by hydrogenated oils. In order to heal these sore scratches and make the walls smooth again, your body fills them in with plaque. Unfortunately this can become chronic, and create blockages. And so high blood pressure is created. The plaque, unlike your arterial walls, is not elastic.

Inflammation = aging. Wrinkles in the skin are caused by inflammation, in the layers where you cannot see it. Dry skin is skin which is fed unhealthy oils, not enough oil, or is not supported by enough of the nutrition that allows the body to process oils correctly.

Red meat is considered a food which promotes inflammation, because typically it has a dominance of omega 6 oils. Yet - this is a sign of another problem. Animals are now fed grains, which is not their natural food. Whether GMO or organic, grains create animal meat which is high in omega 6 oils. Grass fed animals however, produce meat that is much higher in omega 3 oils.

Omega 3 oils are anti-inflammatory. Whether in a sore muscles, diseased arteries, or aging skin, omega 3 oils will support your soft tissues and make them healthier. Here are some examples of omega 3 oils you would want to see on the label of a food supplement or an anti aging skin care product:

  • borage oil
  • evening primrose oil
  • black currant seed oil
  • raspberry seed oil
  • flax seed oil
  • shea butter
  • coconut oil

Note that all of the above oils are edible. You should not put anything on your skin that you would not eat. Because it will end up in your body, without your digestive system to filter out anything bad. That includes chemicals to color, preserve, or add fragrance. The best anti aging products are made from edible products, and the less refined the ingredients are, the better.

Additives to skin care products should always be listed last, as the least per cent portion of the formula.

Making a lifestyle change to consuming grass fed meats, wild caught fish, and organic greens is not that hard. Buy anti aging products for your bathing, your skin and hair.
