Three Critical Elements Of A Raw Foods Diet

Fruit is your friend

Looking for a raw foods diet ? uncertain of why you need a raw food diet here are 3 critical elements and why you should be encouraged to look at getting your nutrients from plant-based raw content

Understanding the need for a plant-based diet will give you a tool that can help a variety of maladies. When you are looking at replacing what is commonly known as the SAD diet, you will be bombarded with many options, the worst of them just replacing a SAD diet full of fats from animal sources with fat content from seeds and nuts etc.

Constructing your lifestyle diet

Having your own raw food diet based on your lifestyle and commitment is the best way to go about the change. You will always have many options to take, and you will always be exposed to many ideas on what is the best way to commit to a raw food diet.

Three Critical understandings

I believe that three main options are the most critical in understanding the importance and long-term effects for the effectiveness of a raw foods diet

  1. a reduction of all fat intake to a percentage of 10% of calorie intake
  2. Fruit to be a staple of your diet not an additive
  3. Understanding correct food combining

at first this seems very simple instructions but when you progress and begin to try put all this into your lifestyle it is possible that you can get overwhelmed in trying to understand it all.

A Big Secret

Do not get hung up on labels and statistics in understanding a raw food lifestyle, the need to be aware of your calorie intake and your fat content is quickly established once a routine is in place. The routine is started by adding more fruit to your diet, the best place to start would be at a breakfast.

Forget the rushed piece of toast as you run out of the door in the morning, preparation will help you start and stay on track with the change of lifestyle eating choices.

Take the time to have ripe fruit available for you and make time prepare and understand the principles of the ratio of 80/ 10 /10 that is the breakdown of the carbohydrate, protein, fat, ratio of your total caloric intake.

A common misconception is that by embarking on a raw foods diet you" miss out" on enjoyable foods, nothing could be further from the truth, learning to embrace the variety and taste of a raw natural food source is more liberating.

It does not have to be a hard journey full of denial and complex rules, the mantra should be fruit is your friend fat is your enemy
