Start With Water to Give Your Health a Boost

In order for us to improve and maintain optimum health, it is my opinion that we should start with the basics. We should be drinking enough water on a daily basis. According to research, the body's makeup consists of 65-90 percent water. Water sustains life, rehydrates, and helps our bodies to release toxins.

Water is essential to humans and all other life forms to sustain life. You can go with out eating for some days, but you cannot go without water. You need water for life. And the water you drink should be good clean drinking water. Water for drinking should be filtered either by distillation or reverse osmosis. But if tap water is all you have access to, by all means drink that to keep your body's fluid level in balance.

Water rehydrates our bodies. Your body makeup is 65 percent or more water; and the brain makeup is 85 percent or more water. So you see why water is essential. Staying hydrated is without a doubt crucial for maximizing your health and keeping optimum brain function. As a general rule, you should drink eight to ten 8 ounce glasses of water a day. A simple guideline to follow for the number of ounces of water a day is based on your body weight. Drink half of your body weight in ounces of water. For example: if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of clean water daily.

Water helps to release toxins from the body. Water is a natural internal cleanser. It flushes toxins from the body at a faster pace than any other drink you may allow into your body. This is another reason you need to drink plenty of clean water each and every day. Other beverages do not take the place of water. There is nothing like good ol' clean water.

As you can see, water is essential to maximizing and improving your health. Drinking more water is a good place to begin in order to start enhancing and improving your health. Make sure you begin to make the better choice of drinking more clean water. You can have other beverages, but only in moderation. Be sure to drink enough pure and clean water on a daily basis. It is your choice. To start maximizing your health is up to you. It is your responsibility to make good and right choices. Do not let someone else make the choices for you.
