The burning question, or the fat burning question that is. It seems that lately everyone wants to lose those extra pounds, but not really sure what the right diet is for their lifestyle. There are so many of them out there and I think that it's up to the individual to decide what is right for them.
I have tried so many diets and so many times have failed. I got bored, didn't have a plan, or didn't know how to prepare the dishes. I am on the Paleo diet and have been doing very well on it. I have a system and follow it everyday. I try new recipes and keep it interesting. You can find paleo diet recipe ideas in lots of places.
Now I have fit this into my lifestyle. So, What will fit into yours? Well think about your situation. Do you have a family and is this something they will be participating in? It's always easier when you have full support from the entire household. If you don't though, stay focused and make sure you have plenty of foods that in your diet plan.
What is your schedule like and how will you be prepared for each meal? Find recipes and snack ideas that will accommodate your daily routine. Smoothies can be a great breakfast idea for a quick start. You want to have a game plan for this. So when you shop, get everything you need.
Now as for the diet itself, I chose the Paleo diet because I like the idea of fresh fruits and vegetables and my favorite, meat! I have been on shake diets, plant based diets, portion control diets, and no carb diets. I don't miss the breads and cheeses and processed foods so much. I find that with all the paleo diet recipe ideas out there I can keep it fro getting boring. Most of the meals are very easy and quick to prepare as well.
I believe that if you find the right diet for you and mix in some exercise throughout the week, you will be feeling better in no time. The best diets I have found are the ones where you eat fresh fruits and vegetables. You can eat as much veg as you want. Stay away from to many processed foods. Try to always eat whole wheat's and grains if your going to eat them. No white anything pretty much, pasta and rice. Eat brown rice and they have so many pasta substitutes that are awesome.
Just do your research and find out what you like best. Mix a couple of diets together. I applaud you very getting healthy and Good Luck!!
This is a very exciting article, David. You have definitely made me curious about what the diet really is. Glad you seem to be getting on with it very well. Dieting is an everyday experience, sort of like the law of attraction: it's always working whether you are doing it right or not; the results are just different. ;-)
