A friend of mine was just recently divorced. Devastating, to say the least, but it has been made more difficult by the fact that, like a lot of us, he really let himself go during his marriage. When we are young and on the prowl, we have a tendency to spend a lot of our efforts on making sure that the bait we are casting to the opposite sex is appealing enough to make them want to take a bite. However, once we are married, we have a tendency to let that slide a little.
So, back to my friend, he is now 47 years old, divorced, badly out of shape, and really not overly ambitious. Yet, he would like to find someone to spend his time with. He has set his sites pretty high, wanting only a beautiful woman with a winning personality, and is currently targeting that type of woman for romance. The problem is, he looks like a pig.
Soon, his standards will drop, and little by little, he will look for less and less until he finally ends up with someone who is similar to him in looks, motivation, and standards. It's a shame, because he really is a great guy. Funny, good looking, has a great job, but we live in a society that is concerned with looks, and he is sorely lacking in the personal grooming aspect of that.
Watching his pathetic journey has made me look a little closer at myself. If something similar happened to me, how long would it take me to get back in the game? To be totally honest, I really don't like the prospect. I have about 30 extra pounds that have settled around my waist, and to be honest, it really looks awful.
How about you? Do you see anything about yourself in this article? It is difficult to lose the weight as we get older because our metabolism slows down to a crawl, and we find ourselves no quite as energetic any more. We get the granny flab under our arms, we get the sagging butt, and we get the spare tire around our mid section, and there is really not a lot we can do about it since we don't have the same energy.
After looking at myself honestly, I decided it was time to make a few changes, not necessarily for appearance sake, but for the obvious health reasons. After searching the internet, I discovered a great new product that stimulates stomach muscles using Electric Muscle Stimulation and has been proven to tone your abs and help shrink the size of your midsection. Not only that, but it is also proven to reduce the flab on your arms, upper thighs, and buttocks.
I have been using it for 2 weeks now, and I can already see huge improvements. My suggestion to you is to do some research, learn more about EMS (Electric Muscle Stimulation) and start improving your appearance and health today.
Because, we never know what the future holds, and we may just want to climb back on the horse again someday.
