There is no one wow leveling build that will get your World of Warcraft character from level one to level 85 faster than all others, but there are some wow leveling builds that are better suited to the task.
First things first, if your goal is to level to the cap as fast as possible then you will need to chose a DPS or (damage per second) build for your character. Tank and healing based builds simply cannot compete with a DPS build for speed of leveling.
Fortunately, every class in World of Warcraft has a DPS spec, so choosing the WoW leveling build for you won't exclude your favorite class or play-style.
Some factors to consider when choosing your class are:
A) Do you prefer a melee play-style or a ranged play-style. If you prefer to attack an enemy from afar then you will want to choose a class with ranged attacks. If you are more of the up in your face kind of combatant then you will want to choose a melee class.
So, is it ranged or melee? Once you decide we can move on to the next factors to consider.
If you chose Melee,
B) The next choice is whether you want to play a traditional melee class like a Warrior or a Rogue or a more exotic class like a Druid who can change forms. You should also consider what role or roles that you would like to fill in the endgame. Do you want to continue to DPS or would you prefer to also tank or heal?
Paladins and Druids are able to fill all three roles. Warriors can DPS or tank. Shaman can heal or DPS, while rogues can only DPS. This is a very important consideration when choosing your WoW leveling build.
If you chose Ranged,
C) Your class options are Hunter, Mage, Warlock, Druid, Shaman and Priest. Again, you need to consider whether you would enjoy a more traditional ranged class like a mage or shaman or a more exotic class like a Hunter or a Warlock, both of which have combat pets that fight at their side.
Just like a melee player, you also need to consider what roles you would like to fill once you reach level 85. Druids can fill all three roles, while Shaman and Priests can heal as well as DPS. Hunters, Mages and Warlocks are DPS only classes.
Using these criteria you should be able to chose a WoW leveling build that best suits you. Remember, the class that you enjoy playing is the one that you will level the fastest.
