Organization is a key characteristic for everyone in these highly dynamic days, especially when in London. However, it is not easy to be organized. In these article I will show you the first five easy steps for getting organized really quick.
Sort and categorize. Diving into a sea of papers is really unpleasant and time-consuming. I strongly advise you to take a paper and make a list of all your papers. According to me, sticky notes are compulsory for everybody who works in front of a computer. I personally often stick my whole monitor with sticky notes. In these modern days, there are many various ways to write important stuff down. Smart-phones and tablets are preferred by many people for saving important information. I recommend you to write down any idea that comes to your mind. I assure you that your productivity and performance will get better.
Concentrate. Concentration greatly helps developing your organization skills. Concentration is strongly connected with your physical and mental condition. Make sure you eat well. You need energy for your daily activities. Note that green leaves vegetables keep energy in your body for longer time than any other food. Avoid distractions as well. If you have an important task to do, I advise you not to listen to music while working. However, if you just can not get concentrated, I advise you to get out to take a deep fresh breath. That will surely work. Another really useful tip is never to start working on several projects at one time. This often leads to distractions and in most of the cases the things get tangled in the end. So, be sure to do one thing at a time.
Clean around. Clean and organized environment is essential for your performance. Working in a clean and cosy place is much admired by most of the people. Moreover, dirty places are not very healthy. For example, dusty places are bad for everyone. Especially for people with respiratory problems, like asthma. You need to adopt at least the habit for collecting dust from all the surfaces around. It is definitely not a big deal and I strongly advise you to take fifteen minutes a day for sweeping your desk. Just take a damp cloth and a multi-purpose cleaning spray.
