So you have decided that you wish to go to the Blue Mountains. You've packed your bags, taken a flight or have driven there and now you are faced with a dilemma, what should you do?
Well, bushwalking is a very common activity in the Blue Mountains, it rewards you with both exercise and peace of mind observing the majestic panoramas.
However, if you don't know where you're going, Bushwalking can turn out to be quite the pain and can even leave you with a nasty headache.
Wouldn't it come in handy to have a list with the top five recommended bushwalking trails? Well, I will cover this for you so I can save you from the trouble of getting lost or walking in circles towards dead-ends •National Pass
A great bushwalking which is located in Wentworth Falls. It is about 6 kilometres long which includes the popular Charles Darwin Walk.
•Jenolan Caves
Featuring up to 9 caves, this walk is quite unique as it offers the opportunity to enjoy the interesting walks along the way but also giving the adventurer the opportunity for some caving.
•Scenic Walkway
Refresh and quench your thirst in the Marrangaroo Spring, as you walk along railway the tracks, it you have some spare time go for a ride in the world's steepest railroad train.
•Zig Zag Walking Track
The Zig Zag Walking Track in Lithgow is an easy and pleasant walk. Also you might be able to catch a train ride all the way along to Clarence Station.
•The Three Sisters
This is perhaps the most popular of all walks in the Blue Mountains. When speaking of the Blue Mountains the Three Sisters is an automatic association.
These would be the best known and most popular bushwalks. However there are many other great bushalking tracks in all of the Blue Mountains. From easy, fairly level walks to medium and hard walks for fit bushwalkers.
Also you can spend one hour bushwalking or for the more adventuresome there are those overnight and sometimes 2 to 3 day walks.
Don't forget to take plenty of water, snacks and the right clothing and footwear. Also if you are planning to stay overnight or for a couple of days, plan your stay well in advance.
