The subject of alien abduction produces different reactions from different people, some react straight away with scorn, laughter and disbelief while others react with fear, apprehension and curiosity. This second reaction usually comes from people who know a little bit more about the subject, because as you will see, once you start to look into the best individual alien abductions you begin to understand that they can't all be laughed away as "some crazy thing a crazy person said once". So I've found 4 alien abduction stories I think will intrigue, scare and spark your interest the most, enjoy.
I've decided to start at the deep end with case number 4 which happened in the small town of South Ashburnham in the state of Massachusetts. This abduction took place one night in 1967 at around 6 pm when Betty Andreasson was at home with her 7 children and her mother and father, the whole family was in the living room, except betty who was in the kitchen. Betty recalls that the lights in the house began to flicker and a red light shone through the kitchen window, she went into the living room to check her kids weren't scared by the flickering lights, while at the same time her father went into the kitchen to have a look at what was causing the red light. As he peered out the kitchen window he was amazed to see 5 creatures approaching the house and was even more amazed when they passed right through the wooden kitchen door without opening it! Somehow the whole family was put into some kind of trance.
These creatures were all about 4 feet tall except for the fifth who was 5 feet tall and seemed to be the leader, they had large eyes and a slit mouth and they talked to betty through her thoughts, assured her that the children were not in danger and led her outside to a disc shaped craft. Betty reported that once aboard this disc it lifted off and docked inside a larger ship, where she was subjected to various tests and a physical examination. After 3 to 4 hours had passed two of the creatures took Betty home where she found her family were still in a trance like state, and that one of the creatures had remained with them. When the creatures left and the trance lifted Betty couldn't recall everything that happened but over the coming months and years she went through hypnotic regression and many tests to validate her story, the final report stated that she was not being deceptive about any of her alien abduction story and fully believed what she was saying.
Case number 3 happened many miles away in England, specifically in Yorkshire's Ilkley Moor. In early December of 1987 ex police officer Philip spencer was taking a morning walk over Ilkley Moor, which according to locals is a "barren, windswept and creepy place". People have also reported unexplained lights hovering above the moor from time to time. On the morning of his walk Philip was heading from his own house, across the moor to his father in laws, he had taken a camera with him in the hope of photographing some of these strange lights he had heard about, as it turned out he got a much better photo than he expected.
As he walked along he noticed on a slight rise ahead of him that some sort of small creature was standing about halfway up it, facing in his direction and apparently gesturing for him to not come any closer! It then turned and ran away from him, Philip (completely ignoring it's gestures) got over his initial surprise and ran after it. When he reached the top of the slight rise the creature had ran over he saw a silver disc UFO rise up from the moor and take of into the sky. So there he was, standing in the now empty Ilkley Moor probably wondering "did that just happen?". He walked back to the village and when he arrived he noticed that the time there was an hour ahead of his wristwatch, aside from this missing time oddness he was itching to know how the picture had turned out, so he caught a bus to a nearby town where he could develop his camera spool.
To his relief he had a good picture of the creature! and wasn't going crazy. Philip contacted UFO investigator Peter Hough and they both had the picture examined by a wildlife expert who determined it was no known animal and also by the Kodak company who confirmed the picture had not been adjusted in any way. To see Philip's picture simply Google images "Ilkley moor alien". So anyway Philip was still wondering about his missing hour and decided to undergo regression hypnosis at the hands of Doctor Jim Singleton. On the day of regression Philip was obviously there as was the doctor, also viewing this regression session were Peter Hough and a journalist named Matthew Hill who would record the session on tape. During the Hypnosis Philip revealed that he first witnessed the strange creature approaching him and he became "stuck" and couldn't move, he remembered the creature walking ahead of him and he was levitating a couple of feet above the ground, beyond his own control and couldn't stop himself from following the creature, which took him through a doorway into a silver disc shaped craft.
He remembered being in a "funny shaped room" with a bright light and a voice telling him not to be afraid, the green creature from the moor is still with him and Peter is laid upon a table and is scanned from above by some type of light, he also remembered feeling a sensation in his nose. Next he remembers being standing and the creature is gesturing him to follow it into another room, he was lead down a corridor where he saw something out a window which startled and amazed him "Oh god! is that real!?" was his response while recounting these events under hypnosis, perhaps he was looking down at the Earth.
Philip went on to describe being lead into a "big round room" and scanned again, then along another corridor and into a room with 2 of these green humanoid creatures where he was shown pictures of something on a big screen or on the wall itself, it goes black at this point then he is back on the moor and he sees a slight rise ahead of him and there is one of the creatures standing halfway up it gesturing to him, this of course is the part we already covered at the start except now we have been through the missing hour thanks to Doctor Jim Singleton's hypnotic regression. Philip Spencer has neither altered his story in recent years or received any financial gain from it, his picture also remains genuine.
Case number 2 took place In the small American town of Ashland, in the state of Nebraska way back in 1967. At 2am on a cold December night a young police officer named Herbert Schirmer was patrolling his town in the station's police car, Herbert was keeping his eye out for the normal things police officers do at 2 in the morning, people breaking into buildings, anyone acting strangely or anyone needing his help. As he approached the intersection of highway 63 he seen ahead of him what he thought were "red lights on top of a large truck".
As he rolled his patrol car slowly down highway 63 towards the red lights it became obvious that they weren't attached to a truck at all, what they were attached to was a hovering disc shaped craft made from some type of polished metal and with oval windows laid out horizontally around it, the red lights he first noticed were emanating from these windows.
Suddenly this hovering whatever it was rose up from it's position on the highway, passed over Herbert's police car and flew away at a high speed. Somewhat amazed, Herbert headed back to the police station, when he got there he noticed it was 3am which seemed odd considering it had been 2 am about 10 minutes ago, he proceeded to write this in the station log book "Saw a flying saucer at the junction of 6 and 63 - believe it or not!". Later the same night a red mark or rash appeared on Herbert's neck and he reported having a headache and feeling sick.
Word of Herbert's strange sighting reached the ears of the condom commission at Colorado's University which had previously looked into other UFO reports, and he was asked to meet with Doctor Leo Sprinkle on February the 13th 1968 to undergo hypnotic regression. While under hypnosis Herbert recalled that as he first approached the disc with the oval windows hovering above highway 63, both his police car's engine and radio died and that a white light emerged from a hatch in the craft which telepathically assured Herbert he wasn't in any danger and persuaded him that he didn't need to draw his sidearm.
He wouldn't have been able to in any case because at this point Herbert couldn't even move his head to look left or right, and as he sat there looking at the craft 2 human shaped beings emerged from the same hatch and begun walking towards his car. This being walked right up to Herbert's driver side window, which was rolled over halfway down, and pressed a silver pencil shaped object to the side of Herbert's neck. The being then opened the police car door and somehow levitated Herbert out of the car, as this being looked at each other it asked him "Are you the watchman of this town?" to which Herbert responded "Yes sir", which was as good a response as anyone else would think of finding themselves in this situation.
"Come with me Watchman" This being replied and lead/levitated Herbert through the open hatch, into the craft and into a circular room which had 4 feet tall 2 feet wide cylinders around the whole room, in the middle of this room was a large cocoon shaped object which was spinning and giving of rainbow colours. Herbert asked the being what this spinning thing was and was told "This is how our craft operates, with electrical reversible magnetism".
The being then took him up to the crafts second level which Herbert remembers as being the control area with many instruments, lights, screens and a red glowing cone in the centre of the floor. The being showed Herbert a star map on a large screen and pointed out the star he had come from and explained to Herbert that they come to earth to harvest electricity.
The being then took Herbert up into the third level where he lead Herbert to an area beside 2 chairs which looked out of a large window, below Herbert could see his patrol car, beside which another being was standing. The being said to Herbert "One day you will see the universe as I have" and also some other things Herbert didn't understand, the being then lead Herbert back outside to his patrol car, and as with Philip Spencer's case before, we have arrived back where we started.
Alien Abduction case Number 1 happened on the 7th of August in 1968 at Lake Champlain, which is of course also famous for it's Nessie type monster "Champ". Buff ledge camp was a girls camp sitting on the shore of the Lake, and that afternoon 2 of the camp's employees, Janet Cornell and Michael Lapp were sitting together looking out at the lake and enjoying some free time. Just as the sun was going down the 2 employees witnessed a bright light in the sky, this light began to descend and move closer towards their position and while it had first appeared to be round in shape as it got closer they could make out that it was flatter.
As they watched this weird light 3 smaller lights dropped from beneath it and began to fly about above the lake surface in patterns that definitely suggested intelligent control. These three smaller lights flew away and the remaining original UFO tilted and flew into the lake for reasons best known to itself, it soon re-emerged and began flying straight towards Janet and Michael who could now make out a transparent dome on top inside which were 2 small humanoid shaped creatures with long necks, large eyes and large heads.
Michael began to sense a kind of mental link to these 2 creatures and tested his idea by slapping his knee, amazingly one of the creatures copied him and slapped it's knee! The craft now positioned itself directly over their heads and shone a very bright beam down on them which Michael later recalled as making him feel light.
The next thing they both knew they were still in the same spot looking up at the UFO except it had become totally dark, the UFO raised up and flew out of sight leaving them both sitting there, feeling drowsy and wondering what had happened. For the remainder of their summer camp employment Janet and Michael didn't discuss what they had seen gliding above the lake, perhaps this was their brains protecting themselves from disturbing/creepy memories, and when the summer ended they went their separate ways. But apparently you can never get completely out from under an experience like that because Michael would dream about the UFO kidnapping him from time to time.
Ten years crept by, as they do, and Michael finally decided to find out what had happened to himself and Janet that night. He got in touch with the Centre for UFO Studies and an Investigator there named Walter Webb listened to Michaels sighting/abduction story and suggested regression hypnosis. While "under" Michael recalled the beam that the UFO shone down which had made them feel light had actually lifted them into the craft, they had been flown to a larger craft and at one point Michael had seen Janet examined on a table.
The aliens examining Janet and Talking to Michael were all alike, around 4 feet tall with large heads, eyes and small lipless mouths, one of them told Michael that their mission was to "make life in other places". Janet also later underwent hypnotic regression and her story backed up Michaels, she recalled being lifted up into the UFO, and later lying on a cold table being basically poked and prodded.
As with many other facets of the UFO subject alien abductions leave us with more questions than answers, but when you really look into it - it becomes harder and harder to dismiss it as nonsense.
