Dealing with being a new parent? Is your first time around rougher than you thought? If so, do not be afraid, because you are not alone. All of us new mothers have reached this point at one time in our lives. Dealing with babies is one thing, but dealing with toddlers is completley another.
We as parent's suddenly see a drastic change in our children. Whether is be an attitude, lack of listening skills, or just plain rebellion, we have all been there. I can guarantee you that this is not something you can overcome overnight, but with a little help it is something that you as a parent can work on with your child. If you are going through hard times with your toddler, do not hesistate to ask questions, or read up about it. If you are a new mother who has yet to expirence the torotuous changes in a toddler, than, good luck.
There is not a specific reasoning to why children act out at this age, or when it will stop. Just as there is no reasoning to why it is happening, there is not specific way to stop it. Just as every child is different, so are there actions, and that means that special attention is needed. However, acting out does not always mean it is a bad thing. I shortly learned after my daughter turned three that it was an act that bettered me as a mother. While seeing the change progress, and seeing the attitude come out, i bought a book called Talking to Toddlers. It helped me DRAMATICALLY! Not only did it help me overcome the challenges that my child was facing, but it helped me grow as a person, and as a mother. It strengthened my bond with my daughter, and taught me just the right way to handle certain situations. At first, i felt alone with this problem, but soon after reading up i realized that i was not alone at all, it was just a common thing that every mother went through. Seeing this is what made me strong, knowing that i was not alone.
If you are a parent, take it from me. There is nothing worse then the terrible three's. However, do not be alarmed, you will pull through, if i can do it, than you can too. Just read up, follow your heart, and soon you will have an everlasting bond. If you can do this, than raising them through highschool with be anything but a breeze!
