Waking up your kids- it has never been so easy
Getting up in the morning is not fun! I think that 99% of you will agree with this fact. Not only that it is not fun for us, I am sure that is the same regarding to our children. Basically we can divide children to two groups of risers: those who are naturally early risers and those who are "stretching" every minute and have some difficulty waking up. Let's admit it: all of us would like our kids to be early rises. But the reality is kind of different. It is not fun to be angry on the morning when trying to wake our kids up. And, believe me, it is also not fun for our kids to start the day upset. If you having hard time to wake up your kids and most of your creative ways don't work, you can relax because here some tips that will get your kids quickly out of the bed. It worked absolutely great for me and my two 6 and 7 years old kids.
Get inside your child's head
Try to think what they like to do and what motivates them. Most of the kids love to help, try to motivate your child to help you do something. For example my daughter loves to cook, so I ask her if she could come and help me preparing the breakfast. Try to think of activities that makes your child enthusiastic, and motivate him to help you.
Games are not only for kids
We all know that Kids loves to play. A good way to get your child out of the bed is to play with him, try to think of games that he likes and play with him for 5 minutes. For example, me and my 6 year old boy are playing "hot & cold" (my version for hide-and-seek). In this game I hide my boy's little toy truck somewhere in his room and he needs to find it. While he is searching I give him clues about the position of the object by using words that describe temperature, and change them as he gets closer to finding the truck. Words such as: frozen, cold, chilly, when he is looking far from its real location, and: hot warming, burning when really close to find it. That is just a small example, there are lots of ways can that encourage your kids to get up early.
Kids love challenges
There is nothing that motivates young kids than a challenge. The thing is to find the challenge that will make your child wake up, and prove to you that he can! Here you have to think for yourself because this issue is very personal for every child. But once that you found the thing that intrigues your child I am sure that he will wake up immediately just to prove to you his abilities to perform your challenge. (And don’t forget a good word to him afterwards).
Music is the answer
If you tried all of the tips above and still no improvement, I saved the very best for the end. If no matter what, your child refuses to get up you must try to change your kids alarm clock. Alarm clock that plays his favorite music will do the job for sure. There are huge varitey of cool alarm clocks for kids. I found in this site an alarm clock that do the job for me every day (I am grateful for how invented it). I am setting the alarm clock to play their favorite cartoon theme and they are up on their feet dancing! Believe me it works like magic.
