Most of us that has a 9-5 or a weekly job find it hard to prepare ourselves to do some weekend outdoors, like fishing with family and friends. In fact some of us just do not know where to start!

Since you can read this article you have the greatest access to all the information you need to find locations, best time to plan, how to get there, and how to prepare so that you and your family will have a successful weekend through the internet. But who can I trust? And you say my family and I have tried to have a successful weekend fishing, and it just seems that it is worse than working during the week. With that being said...lets look at my experience the past 42 years of weekend fishing with my family, like my father for instants. My father started taking my brother and myself fishing at the young age of 4. He would take the time out of his busy schedule (providing for us) to take us on a Saturday fishing trip. He knew when the fishing would be prime time to be productive.

The weekends that would not be as productive as others, he would prepare us so when it was time, then we were ready. Now remember it is fun and exciting also preparing to go fishing. Like making sure you have all the right gear...rod and reels, new fishing line, lures, hooks, sinkers, bobbers (floats) and check out your boat. You surely do not want to go fishing and have something go wrong, like when you arrive at the lake or pond and your motor on the boat will not start, or your line breaks because you did not install new line on your reel. You say, how did he know when the timing was right?

By the full moon. Yes the full moon! Three days before the full moon and three days after the full moon. Now during the daylight hours of the full moon, it would also produce fish too! See the moon governs the ocean's tides. So if the moon can do that, then it has the ability to govern all types of water and all living creatures that dwell in them.

Okay the timing is right, now it is time to choose the right bait. For me and my 42 years experience fishing it would have to be live bait. Think of it...if it looks real, smeals real, swims real, and tastes real, then it must be real natural food.

So my advice is to go get some new tackle if you have old tackle. Pick up some night crawlers and take about two dozen of those to the lake or pond that your have researched and asked alot of questions about. Go around the edges of the lake or pond with a boat or your legs, hook up just half of a night crawler on a small hook, line, sinker and float, and catch some brim or shinners to use as live bait for the bigger fish. Now while catching these brim and shinners you and your family or friends will have just as much fun as catching the bigger ones, well now I really get excited when I latch a hold of a big fish (20-30lbs.) The process for using live brim or shinners as bait is the same exept for using larger tackle and that includes fishing line. Just make sure to install larger hook under the dorsel fin on the bait so that it will swim naturally.

Remember...that this is what matters in life!!!
