Saving Money With Renewable Green Energy Solutions And Outdoor Solar Items

There has been a lot of hate toward so called "green energy" or "renewable green energy" in recent years. The Solyndra scandal involving the Obama administration is just one example. To quite a few people, the idea of green energy implementation jobs and, as a result, green energy implementation on a mass scale is derided by many pundits as another boondoggle targeting government funds.

Don't get me wrong, there are dishonest people in every industry, green energy included. Humanity will probably never get to a place where no one takes advantage of something for their own personal gain. Its unfortunate that these attitudes have arisen because there is plenty of potential in renewable green energy such as solar, wind, and geothermal sources. It may be that the traditional power plant style of energy generation may not be the most effective way to use green energy, or it may need to be combined with small, individually generated electricity where perhaps every home has some sort of renewable equipment attached to it that feeds power into the national grid.

It isn't easy to get started in home renewable energy generation. Personally, I feel that a large number of jobs can potentially come from such a home generation model as installers and manufacturers of the parts, along with the support jobs that come with manufacturing an installation, but this doesn't do much for the individual who may want to use available green energy for their own needs but may not have the expertise or money to install solar panels or a large, high wind turbine.

If this is you, you need to be a bit creative. there are plenty of small devices that use renewable energy that you can buy for little money and quickly put to use. Outdoor solar items are an excellent example. Many yards nowadays have those small solar lights that are easily stuck in the ground. These contain a small solar panel collected to a battery that stores energy. At night, with no sunlight available, the power begins to flow from the battery to the light, lighting up the night. they are great little devices when you need to run outside at night or come home late and forget or don't want to carry a flashlight.

There are many other small outdoor solar items such as wind chimes, radios, assorted weather gauges, and even fountains to explore. They can usually be had for around 10 to 100 dollars and are easy to install and put to use. I encourage you to experiment with them. Its not hard to go green. It can be interesting, fun, and may even save you a little money. Don't let the naysayers or prohibitive cost of renewable green energy stop you from giving it a try!
