A Window & An Umbrella®

This is the single most important message for your career you will ever receive, either read every word of it, or nothing at all.

You were born for and with a purpose, that is unquestionable truth! The world would that you never find out, that you may be trapped by fear and doubt forever; there are powers, however, in this universe, that desire your freedom more than life itself! You must come to know that you were born to be a window, not a mirror, and an umbrella.

A Window

Each of us were created with a light withtin ourselves. Every human being has the potential to let that light shine for the betterment of humanity. Oprah is quoted as saying:

When I look at the future, it's so bright it burns my eyes!

Each and every one of us can and in fact should experience that brightness, which is ours by birthright. It's the unalienable right of all mankind to live in the brightness of peace, the light of love and illuminating joy. This means different things to different people, and it is each individuals inherent right, and responsibility, to discover what it means to them. How many of us actually ever discover and pursue our lifes mission though? Unfortunately, very few. Mostly we are stopped by fear, doubt and worry. Fear of failure, doubting whether we have what it takes to succeed and worry for losing our pay check (in the transition from the job we are in, to our dreams career) . These are all very real fears, and this message isn't to the inspiring and strong willed few who can go it alone through astonishing odds. They don't need it. This message goes out for those who get afraid and spend sleepless night worrying about bills. Those who don't consider themselves overly talented. Those who come with "baggage". Don't we need happiness too? Or is success reserved for the business tycoons, celebrities and professional athletes of this world alone? Certainly not!

So what if there was a way for you to discover your true self, fall in love with your destiny and live with passion, zeal and true life in the career you thirst for, all without missing a pay check?...

There are very specific and practical things one can do to woo success. Simple and basic principles that will lead to your success, but we won't get into them much right now, we will break them down in greater detail in the OrangLight™ network. One thing I promise is that if you want to, you can and will experience success and happiness in this lifetime, no matter where you are starting from in life and no matter how high your ambitions, and what's more, you don't have to walk the journey alone. Sometimes we just need somebody there with us, I know that all too well. You don't have to be alone anymore.

Not a Mirror

We all face different circumstances in life and through different situations, often beyond our control, we become the people we are. It's not wise to consider ourselves better than others because, to be honest, we don't know how we would turn out if we were in their situation. There is a Chinese Proverb that says: "Deal with the faults of others as gently as with your own". We grow up in a world that tells us to give in to fear. Now fear does have it's place, but not when it becomes unhealthy, not when it dictates our lives. We just shouldn't live our lives from fear.

I speak from experience as one who has lived in tormenting fear of everything. The fear became so consuming in my life at one point that I was too afraid to even leave the house, what's worse is that I don't know what I was afraid of. I became a prisoner at home. I've since discovered where it stemmed from and have overcome much. I still struggle with fears and fight desperately to overcome them for your sakes, that I can help others who live in overwhelming fear to know that there is hope: There is a way for you to experience joy, AND, you don't have to do it alone!

To free myself from the discomforts of my immediate situation while growing up I tried to use many energies and substances to fuel myself, from anger to alcohol to arrogance and ego (which the world especially celebrates). The problem with these however, and again I speak from experience, is that they are like burning banana leaves, or newspaper. In the beginning the flame burns fervently, but within a short time it burns out, leaving you cold and in the dark, with bigger problems than you originally had. No, moments of thrill aren't what you were made for, but long term joy and there is but one fuel that can carry you to your destiny: LOVE. When we live in fear we are like a mirror reflecting to others the cold and hopeless world in which they already live, affirming that they will probably die there. When we, from a love for others, choose to overcome our fears and abiding pain, we can then present mankind with a different, a better way to live, because one cannot choose an option they don't have. Love is the only fuel that works because love alone is stronger than fear.

And an Umbrella

One of my favourite movies of all time is 300. The story of how 300 Spartan soldiers stood against the might of the Persian empire and against tyranny. Greatly outnumbered they lured the innumerable Persian hosts into a place they called The Hot Gates, a narrow corridor between two mountains where their numbers meant little because they (the Persians) wouldn't be able to attack them (the Spartans) all together at once. Just when victory for the Sprtans seemed an attainable dream they were betrayed by a Spartan citizen, who led Xerxes the Persian ruler to a goat path hidden in the mountains that gave the Persains a way to come behind the Spartans and finally have them surrounded, which they could'nt do before. Once surrounded, and refusing to live as slaves to tyranny, refusing to surrender, they were killed. They died free men.

The man who betrayed his countrymen did so because he was refused, by Leonidas the king of Sparta, to be part of the army of 300 of Sparta's finest and the king's personal body guard, a thing for which he craved. His desire was a noble one, but led him to ignoble actions. I believe that had that man decided to live as an umbrella, protecting his country and his brothers first, that life would have found a way to give him the desires of his heart. He would eventually have worn the Spartan crimson in one way or another. These words are hard to write, hard to read and definately hard to live however, the truth is that there aren't many ways to lasting success, there is but one, and on the road to lasting and ever growing joy, and yes physical posperity, you cannot be the most important thing in your life and in your world. No matter how noble your desires, your responsibility to your neighbour always comes first. In fact, it is in the process of loving your neighbor that you will discover your purpose, again, from experience!

Dr. King Jr, in the throws of the violent struggle against racism in America, a struggle that eventually claimed his life, once said, in a sermon about the good Samaritan_ who alone stepped out of his safe way on a dangerous road descending to Jericho to serve his beaten and bruised neighbour_ that fear thinks "What will happen to me if I do this?", but love thinks "What will happen to him if I don't?". He (Dr. King) devoted his life to being an umbrella for the yet small flame of a fledgling freedom from ferocious winds and torrents that desired to quench it. Who's umbrella are you?

This is the most important message about your career you will ever hear because it's in these principles that your dreams are wrapped, and that it is in fact your duty to unwrap them, if for nothing else than as an example to humanity, to your collegues, to your friends, to your family, to your loved ones, to your children if you have, or desire to someday have, any.

Success Isn't a Right, It's a Responsibility

Every house has a theme, a message it consistently speaks and reinforces in the minds of those within it. It's the same thing for every organization. In a healthy, happy environment that message is love, security, confidence and service from the example of the leaders who themselves serve. I grew up with the theme "You are and always will be a failure" and "You'll never amount to anything more than a criminal!" Now, imagine had I listened to and followed that message? Imagine if I had become a criminal? Success isn't a right, it's a responsibility. It was my responsibility to not become a criminal. It was my responsibility to engage in the most traumatizing battle of my life: the battle for my mind, and actively engage and overcome the fears and insecurities instilled in me, and fight for my own freedom. I am not today nor ever have been a criminal. I'm a window for life and an umbrella for the precepts that make this life worth living, and for all those who themselves are locked in the battle for their minds. This is my purpose and the very reason I exist: that you experience true love, joy and freedom in this lifetime!

So, you have a job, but you don't feel alive in it. You have a dream, but you don't want to let go of what you have for what you hope to have. What do you do?

I have a question: What if there was a way for you to discover your true self, fall in love with your destiny and live with passion, zeal and true life in the career you thirst for, all without ever missing a pay check, would you take it?
